I'm reporting in again. I am officially in a purple patch of form.

39 points for me. It didn't look likely after a 3-putt from 5 feet on the 2nd, but from there I hardly missed a putt under 10 feet all day, and holed two from outside that, both to rescue pars after a bad chip. Putting is the secret to good scores.

I had a mare today as well. 23 points. Maybe if I'd have actually hit the irons out of something resembling the middle of the face instead of knifing just about every one of them I might have had a better time of it. Probably be back to my usual hitting them properly for the most part on Friday. Stupid game.

    PBPbPPPPP-PBBPPPPbP 73/40pts

Changed putter (ditched the arm lock) and it went pretty well. Some wonderful par saves on 5, 7 and 14 from bad positions off the tee (all par 3s).

Last minute decision to go for a drive and have a game somewhere I’ve driven past a few times but never played.

    BpBBpBDBDpBppBBppbp

Drove it well on the first 3 holes but lost the swing until the last 3 holes. Greens were just terrible. Multi paced, bumpy and slow with many varieties of grass evident throughout.
8 over on the front and 2 over on the back. Recovery game was a little better on back.

33 points today. Pretty good front 9 of 18 points but a few silly mistakes on the back kept it from being better.

Hard slog in the monthly medal today. Oppressively hot and humid. Brookwater of the blacks is a beast, and the rough is really thick at the moment. Just managed to keep my run of 30+ points of golflink going - think it's 14 rounds now. Didn't lose a ball either, which is nice.

    XBPPBPBbX-PBBXBBPPP 84/78

Putter wasn't as hot as yesterday - didn't putt badly, but the putts that went in yesterday missed today. Just a bit ordinary all round - missed too many fairways, missed too many greens.

Best ball today. The conditions were pretty tough although better when the wind got up a bit. We didn't really do a whole lot with 38 points but there were plenty worse I suppose.

Got a round at Brisbane tomorrow morning, hopefully any rain that might happen waits until we've finished.

31 points off 13 at Stirling (yet another low 30). Despite a bunch of practice in the net this week I really didn't feel confident over the ball for most of the day, particularly with driver. Short game kept me in it, drained a couple nice long putts. Could have been anything after having a birdie on 1 and 10 points thru 4 holes. Reload for next week.

Slogged around in the heat on Sat morning for 31 points (82gross). 13 on the front and started bogey, double on the back and was tempted to walk off! Hit it a bit better after that and parred the last 5 for 18 points on the back.

Was booked in to play the Wynnum Cup Sunday morning, but got out there to find half the course was under water. Event cancelled.

Practice round today, 81. Probably should have done better than that after playing the first 5 holes in -1 but at least I was able to work on my irons a bit and sort them out somewhat.

I remember the wynnum cup used to be a big ozgolf event. Favorite parts we're watching hackers not get over the water on 10. Good times

79 for 36 points at Oxley today. I shelved my plans to go to Maroochy River this week because the weather has been rather untrustworthy lately. Began with a double, and 6 other bogeys scattered across the round with the rest being pars.
Felt like I hit my irons better today, hitting more down on them like I was before I randomly started not doing that for whatever reason. Hit 8 greens in reg which is an improvement over the last few weeks.

    Tanunda Pines today (Thursday)
Got given 2 vouchers for a hit by a hole sponsor a couple of weeks ago so booked a cart and the day off work.
Beautiful morning for a game and I chopped it up about as bad as I possibly could have.
Course was in the best condition I’ve ever seen it. Was annoying to play it so poorly.

If the course wasn’t in such great condition I would have been finding it hard to agree about it being better than a day at work.
