Default Uncivil War X - Peninsula Kingswood Golf Club - North Course, Sunday 3rd March 2024

We can't have a Vic Champs thread without the Uncivil War thread getting simultaneously derailed.

Welcome to installment 10, in what I'm fairly confident will be our last Uncivil War. The format was great but has sadly waned over the past few years with participants getting harder and harder to shoehorn into the Southern side (and judging from performances I'm confident there were a few "inside men" who refused to truly fight for the flag!).

More details will be posted here in due course, but just "setting the scene", as it were....

I’m taking Courty v Yoss. If it was Slug and myself there is every chance of whoever finishes wins.

Wish I could make an appearance, however recovery from shoulder surgery has put a stop to that. I’d be lucky to make the turn these days

I thought their would have been a few more having a jab after last year. I can't see the confeds going down as easily again. There are a few union members that need to be taken down a peg.

As last year's captain, I would like to nominate 3PP for this year's Confederate captain. A well deserved nomination as someone who has taken a lot of sh1t from Northern scum and keeps coming back.

It’s an honour to be nominated. I’ll take some counsel and let you know.

Sorry Joe, 3PP has already been captain, and with a lack of "eligible" captain options available for the South, the decision was made by the Brains Trust to revert to the original captains for the "last hurrah". So it will be myself and Courty leading the sides....

Captaining the south is a hell of a poisoned chalice. Takes a unique individual to sign up for that humiliation.

Actually maybe 3PP was the right call after all.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

The only thing more humiliating than being captained by me would be losing to me.

    Have at it.

Getting into your head won’t be a challenge. Dislodging the monkey might be though.
