Ended up with 30 points this morning. Doubled 13, 17 and 18. Doubling one par 5 is bad enough, doubling 2 is criminal.
Mostly a skill problem, but felt unlucky - hit a solitary, small overhanging branch with my 2nd on 13 and it shot me 50+ metres sideways (across the fairway) deep into other trees. On 17 I melted a 3w 240m (all carry) to just roll into a greenside bunker, then proceeded to take 3 goes to get out - not bad shots, just too aggressive and caught the very top of the lip twice.
Went back to an Arm lock putter, and that went well - don't think I missed a put inside 7-8 feet - just didn't have enough birdie putts in that range.

I achieved a just good enough to post score of 35 points today.
A bad start but a good finish meant I am fairly happy. Twice I chipped into a bunker, and both times I saved bogie, so I'm not sure whether to count them as sand saves or not. Not that it matters.

I don't really care what the format is, hitting a good score is a good score.

75 for 66 nett 39 points at Wynnum this morning. Made a couple of nice birdies on the back, but threw in a few soft bogeys too. Handicap back under 10 at last!

Hacked it about for 26 points at Alice Springs today.
Greens finally coming good after renovations & irrigation issues. Bit on the furry side, so a lot slower than normal.
Having 2 weeks off did not help.

Yesterday was a best ball so individually didn't really matter. 44 points as a team, 5 behind the winners.
I stayed up way too late last night, didn't get enough sleep, did a mini warmup and had zero expectations of anything today. Ended up shooting 77 for 40 points and a second place finish. It felt like I couldn't miss with the putter, I'm not using the stats app currently but I had 24 putts, which is my lowest I think. A number of them were after decent chips, but a few were of reasonable length as well. My handicap has dropped back from 10.9 to 9.0 over my last two rounds, nice to be playing better golf again π

Shot on 90 on Saturday in a monthly mug at Brookwater. Fairly constant rain beat me down, then I played 13-15 in +7 to really blow up.
It's a funny game though, shot 71 (1 over) this morning, with 4 birdies and a couple of lazy bogies & a double. Game is there, consistency is not.

I fell behind in my round check-ins. You don't care, but my OCD does.
Back to back rounds of 30 points with a mixed bag of scoring. I was missing greens in the wrong places and being too greedy with trying to get up and down, instead of just getting it on the green. I'm struggling in that 20-40m range too, and I couldn't practice it with the practice pitching green at the club being used for a temporary hole.
