yep have one on my putter. it's fine. i can't tell the difference. no doubt they would probably have some QC issues but i've bought 3or4 of them for different putters. always seem fine.

Question: In general — are a lot of the grips on Aust. eBay fake?

Considering a bulk order on some Golf Pride grips from an Aust. seller with several thousand positive feedback... but the price has me kinda worried; seems a bit too cheap.

    Any thoughts?

As I understand it, if new "golf pride" grips are significantly less than RRP, they're fake. So yes, heaps of fake golf prides on ebay.

I would check the other things they’ve sold, if it’s a collection of other stuff not golf related the chances are they’re fake.

It’s easy for a seller to say genuine.

I bought a set of 13 Multi-compounds for $70 delivered, fully expecting they were fake. And they were. The quality is actually pretty decent though.

I didn't think to weigh them, but I suspect they would be underweight as the rubber was thinner at the bottom.

I was told by a clubmaker the fake ones are rubbish, they dont last. However the alternative grips sold mostly on Amazon ( or ebay for more $) are decent, like Saplize, Champkey and a few others.

The clubmaker youtube dude has done a couple of reviews on his channel, worth the watch.

I recently bought a batch of Champkey from their official store on Amazon. They cost more than the others, more than the fakes but seem very decent. Though havent tried them yet. Champkey does seem to be a genuine OEM, where all the other are many brands of the same grip and thousands of sellers.

Same here. They're fine. I've just ordered another set to do my young fella's clubs.

I put fake GolfPrides on my Dads clubs 12 months ago, he plays twice a week and they are still in great condition. all weighed within a few grams of each other around the 50 mark.

What are the main perks that come with being the Mayor of Fyshwick? Do you see Benno often?
    Forum needs more banter.
