Default I know what im doing wrong but i cant fix it!!!

Ok gents, my desperation stakes have utterly MAXED OUT....

imagine a baseball pitch just before release . .

the arms up high and prone , your chest is open facing the target , you sink thu the hips to front leg drives OUT then the torso pivots and drives the asss, your head is now 3 feet past where it was at set up at initiation

now put an iron in yr hand and do the same at the top of the golf swing and try hit a draw !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    what the farrqrqrqrqrrqrqrrqrrqrq !?!?!?!@*&^%??!!??!?!?!?!?!?

THIS is what my swing now mentally resembles

its filthy,it digsuting it shud be banned , i really shudnt be alowed to play golf, im hitting 50% of GIR on everage now , i checked my stats on Miclub piechart and had to clsoe the screen for fear others wud read it.
ive fallen 5 shots on HCAP and not come close to local hcap in 17 games !!!!

THATS WHAT IM DOING... i know it, i can FEEL it when im about to downswing but i cant stop it.
how i got to this situaton is uttelry beyond me.
i USED to be a very tidy ball striker now ive morphed to this utter mongtardation of a swinger .

    put it this way
my 7 iron, like OLD SCHOOL 36* used to go 150m (+/-165y) on the nose, like clockwork , without thryin to break the sapce time contiunum

    fast forward ............

6i im LUCKY to hit the 145m mark unless i middle it ,EVERYshot now is a huge cut that i cant really control anymore either .
im taking divots the size of beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever pelts.

...... i was so shallow once the club went so deep i had to pay the course $ 4000000m to remove the 6i that had embeded itself to the earths mantle!

    im OVER this
its almost a fk this for a game of soldiers lawn bowls looks appealing.

i know im doing it , i cast so far , barramundi flee!

WITHOUT GOING TO A PRO FOR HELP, bec there aint one i can accces here.

im backing i might not be the first on this , so wonderd if anyone else has suffered this moprhing and what they did.

Uchubzz has broken from my searching.

    thanks,

    disrtessssed!!!!!

    Stew,
    A great player and major winner (Tom Weiskopf) once said;

”when I’m playing well, I wonder if I will ever hit a bad shot!
When I’m playing bad, I wonder if if I will ever hit another Good Shot”!

These things go in cycles, especially as you age. The one thing that is always true…is the ball flight!
    It never lies.
Shots left mean you are pulling/coming over the top.
Shots right mean a block or a a block slice.

Look at your flight and that should give you half a clue!

Well, my son took a vid the range in winter and i was so disguted by it, i erased it immediatly ,i saw the issue(s) but didnt realsie how bad they had gotten. shocking.

and thats the funny thing Pete, mine is the opposite of normal, i go right ALL the time with a cut , block, fade , i literllay can not draw it anymore but im coming wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over the top
drop left shoulderright shoulder follows super steep into the ball and i slam the head into the ground, ball, worm, out she goes right. every single time.
this wekeend is a game breaker for me.
i either fix some part of this mongishness or , its off to the lawn bowl arena!

Supo, you might be trying to fight against the natural tendencies of your bodies motion. Not everyone has the same range and angles of movement even before injury and age. Furyk long arms, Sergio short upper arms, Kuchar short arms, they all have different swings for a reason. Its just plain silly to try and swing upright for example if ya body doesnt want to go there.

You are in Sydney sometimes right, go see Denisse Hutton, she will do a biomechanics assessment and get you on the right path.

IMO, those people who walk away from golf in frustration, i bet its because they are fighting against there own body and not realising it. If you are curious, search up on Mike Adams, Terry Rowles, Bioswing dynamics. And start with this one.

As for Mike Adams... His force pedal stuff is excellent. But instead $250 for the product - cut a tennis ball in half and use that.

I bought a force pedal.... dunno how to use it ( yeah i am dumb

I think i got confused because i am trying to bounce back. I am guessing you just push down and let it ( ground) push back.

    front left ball of foot.
push down on the backswing and push down more on the down swing, push up through impact.

    rear right heel.
push down on backswing and push like a bastard through impact.

    Easy.

    Explain "push down".

To most, that will result in the straightening of the leg. Is that the desired result?

I think push down on lead foot would be like you putting your foot into a slipper,..so forwards and down rather than straight down.

OK - there are tonnes of videos with better explanations and cross promo stuff, go hunting. just youtube FORCE PEDAL DRILLS or REVIEWS

But to make the device... grab a Tennis Ball and cut it in half. Shove one half of the ball into the other and trim the excess. This will stiffen the cap of the tennis ball. Now grab another tennis ball but this time cut say a 1/3 of the ball off. You now have the 2 parts of the force pedal.

I only use one at a time and you can mix and match the different size pads with each position. Small one for chipping and pitching, large one for iron shots, etc.

    ....

Now PUSH DOWN = pressure, not weight. Get your head behind the ball - but put pressure on the pad with your front foot. As you swing through with the upper body - add more pressure to the front foot. You push that front foot down - this will give you more torque and get you moving up through the ball without the front foot snapping back.

Small pad for Pitching - pressure in the front foot all the way through.

Honestly - one of the best ground force aids on the planet, because it forces you to get your shoulders around and not under. it forces your body towards the target and through impact and it costs about $3.50 from Coles.

the bit everyone will screw up because they are idiots - is move their hips to far forwards instead of pushing through the ball of their feet. It isnt a lot, just a bit of pressure to stabilise and push into on the downswing.

Well.... things were headed ok........... until they wernt.
Ive had 4 games since my panic set in , the first was " sensational" hit all but 1 dead on with a draw swing and a cpl of feet right/ left thru the air , felt like it was transformational, i missed most greens left bec my aim was too left still , clearly not feeling confident enough to move more right, but ill take that from where i was.
The thought process on EVERY iron shot was the same as Sir Nick said to do , for me that seems to be a positive trigger mentally but in reality it just doesn t relly happen , the first game i wasnt playing for score so i didnt care where the ball went as long as it was thinking left! , it was all about gettign the felling back on course not on a range, there is a monumental difference on range to grass.
next cpl of gems were ,games, then it unwound under pressure , i went straight back to the cut unless i was on the left fairway then, well , i blocked it more than drew it.

" its a process ," as tiger says, and i do agree with you blakey, my bod is NOT physiologially cut out any more to hit draws on comand anymore
theres more than a few injuires , niggles and lack of rotational power that stop me for the msot part.

fk it , it is what it is.

im not preapred to spend all the hours required to rebuild a swing at 1000 yrs old so ill take the small wins when i get them i think and maybe change irons to a set more accomdatiing to the left side when needed, maybe softed up the shafts a bit as well.

i definitley feel like its giving up but the bell tolls for us all , shitty mind frame i know.

doubling back........... bowls might have to wait a bit longer!

u guys are not gonna believe this but ive discoverd hitting GIR = better scores!

last 3 rounds has seen much impoved ball striking and scoring, as a rule i can drive it ok,and my fairway woods/utes are pretty clean and consistant my norm is i dont often hit under 10 or 11 fairways per round but my GIR had fallen to 6ish.
it was appaling considerign where the ball was sititng on the tee!
so to compensate iwas tryign to lean on the drive more and put added pressue on the one part of my game that i can really rely on which of course meant i missed more fairways.

chipping has imprvoed again ,it used to be a very strong part of my game , then it fell to pieces, " unmentionables " every where over the last 18months , dead right shannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkoooooooooos and of course, expletive laden rounds abound.

    but something has changed.

i went back to baseball grip on the irons with some fatter grips, meant i got the ball to drag left a bit and picked up a bit of distance per cub in the process. think im hitting the middle abit more often as well esp the longer irons...
its working so im staying with it.

its not pretty by any means , but hey......................., ill take it !
