I don't really like the look of the QOD, but will have another look.

I think Alphard recommend a Bag Boy buggy over their own.

Yes, the Triswivel. But they don't seem to be available anymore in Oz.

Would someone with a MGI Zip be able to give me some measurements?
Wondering if I go that route if I can use my drink holder and seat from an old buggy and save a few hundred $$$
Would need the dimensions of the cross bar that the seat attaches to, and the inside and outside diameter of the accessory lug the drink holder attaches to.

The Clicgear and FlipnGo (Axelgo?) Drink holders fit.

The Cross Bar is 25mm wide by 20mm deep by 380mm long, including the fitting the Seat Mount fits into. The Mount fitting probably adds 50mm to the length.

I have a spare Navigator Seat, but not the Cross Bar.

Thanks, I think I could make up a bar to fit that and posssible use my old Brosnan seat.

How much you after for the seat incase I go that way, I think the OEM bars are $25.

I just need to decide which way to go, I am thinking the brake is a good idea if the basic models free wheel forwards.

Looking like it will be between the MGI Zip X5, Motocaddy M1 DHC or the Alphard V2.

My Navigator doesn't free wheel unless you fit the wheels to the free wheel position so you can push it if the motor isn't working (e.g. flat battery). But it won't hold anything but the slightest slopes (being an electric motor there is no compression as such to hold against). You get used to parking them across the slope, but it is still an annoyance.

I just checked the spare seat and discovered I had purchased a Bar at some stage. So it is complete. The Bar is unused, the Seat is used and in good condition. $80 for you.

Cool I will let you know if I go the MGI Zip way.

My understanding, and I could be completely wrong, the single motor forward only driving models (X1-X5) have clutches that allows them to freewheel forward but resist and hook up to the motor the other way.

I just checked the MGI site, and they list DHC as a feature on the Navigator but no mention of a brake like they do on the X4/X5, I then checked the Motocaddy and Powakaddy remote models and no brake on the Motocaddy M7 remote, but the Powakaddy RX1 remote does.

I did a little more digging and the MGI X4/X5 has a solenoid on the motor that no other model does, I am guessing this is for the brake.

The Alphard V2 does list a brake as a feature.

Questions and answers to/from Alphard if anyone is interested.

    1. Will it fit my 2009-2012 model Axglo Flip n Go?

Our Axglo brackets should fit this model, but you can send a photo of your cart to double-check.

    2. Just confirming the warranty, on the Club Booster V2 shop page it lists 2 years twice, and then 1 year under the "What's included?"

The Club Booster V2 comes with a TWO years warranty that covers any defect in material and workmanship resulting from personal, normal use in accordance with the owner's manual.

    3. Assuming the 2 year warranty is correct does that cover everything including the battery.

The battery, charger, and accessories come with a ONE-year warranty.

    4. Your Guarantee mentions "a risk-free ironclad 30-day guarantee" and "If you don't like it, no hard feelings we'll make it right". And under your return Policy it states "To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging." What does this mean?

We have a 30 days return policy. The item should be in an "as new" condition, i.e. not soiled, scratched or otherwise damaged, and returned to us in its original packaging. The customer is responsible for shipping it back to us.

I am still undecided, but leaning towards the MGI X5 or Motocaddy M1 DHC for the ebrake warranty and compactness.

Confirmed the Motocaddy warranty as it was a little unclear on there website. Details belowif anyone isinterested.

The current warranty terms Motocaddy Australia offer for consumers are as follows:

Trolley is covered by a 36-month (3 year) warranty from the date of purchase.
The lithium battery and charger are covered by a separate 24-month (2 year) warranty as standard from the date of purchase.

Upon online registration of the trolley and battery,

The lithium battery (not including the charger) is extended to a full 60-months (5 year) warranty. The charger remains with a 2 year warranty.

For consumers to qualify for this extended warranty on the lithium battery, registration must be completed within 45 days of purchase.

Looking into this now too. With Andrew's code above and the current discount on the Alphard site it seems like a no brainer. I will get the Clicgear8 and Axglo adapters so I can try both carts I think.

So I took my navigator out and saddled up yesterday. Drove it up to the pro shop no worries, but when I came outside from paying it had knocked itself off and wouldn't restart. Took off/on battery and nothing.
    Any ideas or similar experience?

This exact thing happened to a mate last week.

    Started. Stopped. Wouldn’t move.

He played 18, came back and it was fine.

My older model has a fuse on the battery cable. Is there a fuse on the newer models?

I think there should be. I've had a look at it this evening. The screen has a brief sign of life. If imagine its a loose connection somewhere.

Johnny Canuck... what are you using in the way of electric buggy?

Looking at getting myself one for when I start back playing to take some of the strain off neck & shoulders. (But definately NOT the one I had at Kennedy Bay that nearly ended MegaWatty )

First round today with the V2 on the clicgear model 8. I was a bit worried about turning but it went fine. Used 3 lights for the round, so 2 left. Happy with the unit works a treat.
