Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Stoked to add the Dunes to the list. Most fun I've had on course for a long long time. Great track.

Of the five courses played last weekend, I enjoyed St Andrews Beach the most, but there would be a fair bit of score bias in that. By halfway through the Dunes round, I was suffering from blind shot fatigue.

There were enough craft beer options to keep me happy at courses 7 to 10 and they stocked local Melbourne brews too. No booze at Sandringham, not that I wanted any by then. St Andrews Beach Brewing seemed to be the main one available, including Woodlands isn't that close to the brewery; their beers were solid.
