Default Uncivil War IX - Woodlands Golf Club, Friday 17th February 2023

Welcome to the 9th instalment of the Uncivil War!!!!

Bafflingly, the scoreline somehow sits at 5-3 to the Union. The Confederates will be looking to get one back here for the chance to level the scores at 5-5 after next years MASSIVE showdown! But let's not get too far ahead, the sides for this years stoush are as follows:

    Confederates Union
    Joes (Captain) Bushy (Captain)
    LeftyHoges Ron Burgundy
    3PuttPete DCanto
    wbennett AndyP
    monsta SundayHack
    Kev Courty
    Pickles benno_r
    BobsYourUncle Shazza_rs
    Davo Peter_rs
    Slug Dotty

The Captains have done the draw, and the smack has already been lobbed from the cheap seats. Match-ups for Uncivil War IX are as follows:

Action will kick off with the first group out at 10:36am.

LET'S GET READY TO RUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! !!!

    Every rule has an exception.

The only time you won't beat any of these Union pricks with more than 32 points is when they're handicap manipulators.

Gotta love matchplay. Total points don’t matter. Also gotta love playing against custard heads….

At least our sledging continues on the course. If Sea Reef was any indication these 2 talk smack online but once they got to the course it was very quiet. I suppose you can’t talk too much on the course when neither really brought much.

We must’ve been awed into silence by the stripe show you two flushers were putting on….

Was just going to say, I'm pretty confident we both easily beat them off the bat. Maybe we should have teamed up to trounce those two.

When you're hitting the ball opposite hand, the absolute last thing you want to do is actually start talking smack in real life.

After the drive on 17 is the first moment I actually thought I was in with a chance of winning, and I took the gas HARD from there.

I’ll put my hand up for the 10th spot if Toxic can’t/doesn’t want to take it

No idea why I would do it other then to spend the day with some good people.

Apologies in advance if I do play for the quality of golf that will be played, haven’t picked up a golf club in 12 months plus.

Is Woodlands in a temporary configuration at the moment? I noticed a second option on both Garmin and Arccos.

Woodlands has a permanent 19th hole out the back, a short-mid length par 3. I'd assume it means they use that configuration any time it's needed to be in play.
