    Default Tolls in Sydney

Question for my Sydney NSW Ozgolf residents.
How do the tolls work in Sydney? Someone at work mentioned there's a site you can register with and you just get sent a bill for any toll roads you used? They couldn't tell me what this site was.
I'll be in Sydney for 5 days with little Miss Hatch in 2 weeks times. Unfortunately we have a full schedule so no time for Golf for me.

Hatch, thought all the states were all linked up these days, I just drive around in Melbourne and Qld without any issues using the tag I got in NSW.

If you don't have e-tags in SA?, would guess you go tagless via here https://www.myetoll.transport.nsw.go...e-toll-tagless

The only road I thought might have had a toll was that one where they used to switch direction depending on time, then I thought, if it actually had a toll they could have built the whole road

I'm keen on some aspect of user pays model for most things.

Can have the argument about whether the govt should build and own them rather than Transurban and whether the tolls should have a sunset clause but as a general rule I'm in favour.

These two statements are where I sit.

I am ok paying $50 a year in tolls to avoid Sydney where possible. I wouldnt want to be paying a hundred plus a week.

Tolls can be avoided. Just gotta take the long way around. FWIW I’d rather pay hundreds a week in tolls than live in Canberra…
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

When you’ve never been to a place before it’s not so easy to accidentally find yourself on a Toll road even if trying to avoid them.
I guess GPS system can help with that but if you don’t have one that becomes more difficult.

A neighbour in NW Sydney doesn't use toll roads, but recently phoned up for a 3 week tagless pass to drive to northern Victoria to visit family. (I don't see the logic, as he has driven there for the last 40 years. He also doesn't have the internet.)

Similar to the scheme PG mentioned ... https://www.linkt.com.au/accounts-an...-a-pass/sydney

In the early days, I put friends' regos on my account, when borrowing their cars. It just got billed to me that month, plus a small 'no tag' fee each time.
