    Default 2023-4 OZgolf Punters Club

    Hey punters

BITS has handed over the administration of the OZgolf Punters Club to me.

Currently we have the below punters invested in the club. If you would like to withdraw or gain entry, please let me know ASAP before we kick things off again. The current total is nearly $2100, so the payout/entry would be about $120, but I can finalise that when the current rotation finishes.

I'm not going to change much, so I have copied the same rules below. I'll bump up the betting amount based on where the total ends up. I'll randomise the order again also.

Please keep the administration for this as easy as possible. Make the bets as clear as possible in this thread, maybe even a screenshot from Ladbrokes or another betting app, so I know exactly what I am betting on. Make sure you keep an eye on this thread for when it is your turn. I will not be chasing people via PMs or text messages.

    Rules:
    1. A once off payment of $181.87 secures you a share in the club. (payment to be made to OZgolf)
    2. A roster will be drawn up and posted so everyone knows in what order they will be betting.
    3. We will be using a Ladbrokes account. AndyP will place all bets to protect the account security.
    4. If you double the money that you have bet, then you can punt again, i.e for a $60 outlay, a minimum of $240 collect is required to bet again. A bonus bet may count towards this.
    5. Winnings to be distributed when everyone has punted or we will keep rolling.
    6. We will only use the Punters Club thread on ozgolf.net for posting bets, and you will have 7 days to acknowledge that it is your turn and 14 days total to place your bet(s), before we move on to another punter. No other messaging services or PMs will be used, so if you are in the punters club, check OZgolf for updates. (Thread subscription link for immediate or daily notifications)
    7. Have fun and win lots.

I've bet my remaining $47 and made it to just get over the $300 potential return ($300.33) at $6.39. Here it is:
    JOHN ISNER VS CHUN-HSIN TSENG
    John Isner 2-0 (Set Betting)
    Tuesday, 7 Feb 2:00am
    Fixed Win @ 1.75

    RADU ALBOT VS LIAM KRALL
    Radu Albot (Match Betting)
    Tuesday, 7 Feb 2:00am
    Fixed Win @ 1.04

    EMILIO GOMEZ VS TARO DANIEL
    Taro Daniel 2-0 (Set Betting)
    Tuesday, 7 Feb 2:00am
    Fixed Win @ 2.10

MARC-ANDREA HUESLER VS LUCA VAN ASSCHE
    Marc-Andrea Huesler (Match Betting)
    Tuesday, 7 Feb 7:00pm
    Fixed Win @ 1.55

    Go Albot!
Those times above are not when the matches are being played. The schedule mustn't have been done at the time that I placed the bet.
Leg 4 got up, and fortunately I didn't go with straight sets on that one. Leg 2 and 4 are today. Leg 3 is apparently tomorrow.

FFS, Albot gave me a scare losing the first set as a $1.04 favourite, but he did have a win in the end. He probably had a win with the bookies too from tanking that first set.

Early days in the Isner match.

Isner wins in straight sets in tiebreakers, which is usual for him. 1 leg left.

It was $70 that you had left and I've placed the bet at $4.11 boosted for a potential return of $287.69.

Bugger! I've had a "scratching" in my fourth leg, with a player pulling up lame and withdrawing pre match. This means that that part of the bet was refunded, my bet is over, and my turn is over since it reduced my odds. It was a win of $140.53 though.

Forget your investment properties and managed funds, we are now up overall 1.32%.

    HOPHEAD, your time is now.

If that was an option, I didn't see it. It's just a 3 leg bet now.

If this gets up, it won't pay much. It looks like there are a lot of scratchings, and the odds will drop right down on the remaining horses.

The Magnolia Belle leg paid $0.94, then Royston Head got rolled, so this bet is gone. You've still got your next $150 though, Toxic.
