Hey punters

BITS has handed over the administration of the OZgolf Punters Club to me.

Currently we have the below punters invested in the club. If you would like to withdraw or gain entry, please let me know ASAP before we kick things off again. The current total is nearly $2100, so the payout/entry would be about $120, but I can finalise that when the current rotation finishes.

I'm not going to change much, so I have copied the same rules below. I'll bump up the betting amount based on where the total ends up. I'll randomise the order again also.

Please keep the administration for this as easy as possible. Make the bets as clear as possible in this thread, maybe even a screenshot from Ladbrokes or another betting app, so I know exactly what I am betting on. Make sure you keep an eye on this thread for when it is your turn. I will not be chasing people via PMs or text messages.

Rules (updated 15/03/2025):

1. A once off payment of $36.77 secures you a share in the club. (payment to be made to OZgolf)
2. A roster will be drawn up and posted so everyone knows in what order they will be betting.
3. We will be using a Ladbrokes account. AndyP will place all bets to protect the account security.
4. A maximum of two bets to be placed per turn, for example, one $10 and one $25 bet for a total of $25.
5. If you double the money that you have bet, then you can punt again, i.e for a $35 outlay, a minimum of $70 collect is required to bet again. A bonus bet may count towards this.
6. Winnings to be distributed when everyone has punted or we will keep rolling.
7. We will only use the Punters Club thread on ozgolf.net for posting bets, and you will have 7 days to acknowledge that it is your turn and 14 days total to place your bet(s), before we move on to another punter. No other messaging services or PMs will be used, so if you are in the punters club, check OZgolf for updates. (Thread subscription link for immediate or daily notifications)

I didn't see it but often they nominate them in two races and go in whatever one they draw the best barrier.....it's annoying particularly when they are nominated in two different states and wait until Saturday to scratch

We have come to the end of another round, and it has not gone well. I'll leave it open for the weekend for JC to bet his remaining $30, and maybe Nemo, Grunt, and Lucasto23 will pop in for a punt. Otherwise, we'll go around again.

I didn’t put my multi for the weekend here because I thought the odds were way too high. Should have rolled the dice.

Another dismal season for us ($1189.65 down 43.47% to $672.45), but not our worst. Payment to get in or get out is now at $42.03 or .000307 bitcoin.

Each punter will now have $40 per turn, with a maximum of two bets to be placed in that turn.

We'll keep the same order as last time, which means I'm first. Bugger. I didn't think about that. I'll get on to it though.
