The version I read yesterday said it was the Australian. Plenty of "fake news" about this story though - the Australian is hardly a "bucket list" course.

Its a good rule to keep the riff raff out. (I dont agree with Sybil)

Its a golf club, they have every right to set a standard for dress code etc in order to create their desired culture and atmosphere. Dont like it, dont go. Cant even go to pubs or nightclubs with any visible tattoos (some states).
Next someone will be complaining that they were kicked out of a golf club because wearing a see through shirt/pants.

Kooyonga is the same. We nearly had a pennant player kicked out over a small calf tattoo that wasn't covered. It's old-fashioned, but these are private clubs and I can't see why they shouldn't be able to set their own dress codes & rules (other than the obvious sex/race/etc. stuff).

This is 100% incorrect. NSW does not have a tattoo policy.

And given he was tweeting shortly after the incident asking if NSW was a good place to play in lieue of the place he was turned away from - confirmed by the person themselves.

Was The Australian, Royal Sydney has the same visible tattoo policy.

Might hold off on that neck tatt given I think having to wear a scarf might disturb my backswing.

There's a bald guy working at my woolies covered in them, including face, head and neck. Times, they are a changing.
Saying that, I hate tatts. But couldn't care less of someone has them (my daughter has one). But, private club, so if that's what they want then it's there choice isn't it? I'm guessing it's not just made up or if the blue, but within their regs? Sometimes the "don't you know who I am" card (I don't know that he tried that,) doesn't work. Just go play somewhere else.

There is a certain style ( and placement) of tattoo common to criminal associations.

Those who choose to tattoo themselves that way obviously know this, so they just have to suck it up, if they give wrong impressions.
