Oh no that is so sad, I found Gerry his first shop on Darling St in the early 90's.

He was a real character and always had awesome gear..

    He will be sorely missed

Terrible news, he was a great character who loved a chat and had some great gear.

    RIP Gerry

Damn. That really sucks. RIP legend.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

That is really sad, I knew he had issues after his fall but didn’t realise it was that bad. He will be sadly missed

Very sad! I remember when he used to advertise in the trading post when the shop was in darling street. The shop was so full, there was two isles to walk down. He was always very fair when doing a deal. RIP Gerry.

I would doubt it, his son didn’t really have a clue about the pricing etc. there was a group of friends who had reopened the shop after his fall on fridays-Sundays (it was closed completely for around 3 months).

Think they are looking to try and sell the business, hopefully someone will take it over.

You would confuse the staff when you asked to buy a bag. Both are about $300 though

Very Sad!!! He was a great guy, a little bit eccentric and a character I loved to haggle with!! RIP Gerry!!!

I would travel a long way in the hope of finding that ever elusive magic putter, and even better if it was ex tour!!! I am going to miss that!!
