    Default Delay in cards processed

Just wondering if there would be any implication from delays in comp cards entered into golf link.

For example, played on Saturday and they still have not been added, what would happen if I played before they are added and won a comp by one shot. But if they had been added my handicap would have been lower.

    Does this make sense?

In a world not too far back, a hard working club member entered the scores in a ledger with a pencil and then updated a board with little white numbers, delays happened, nobody worried, would suggest adopting the same approach.

You can only play with the handicap in the system when you start the event. My handicap would have been reduced from Saturday's round, but since it wasn't in by the time I played on Sunday, I played off the higher handicap.

Could be convincingly argued that a Vic Champs was won due to cards being processed late from the uncivil war the day before.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Same thing happened with my round on Saturday, it's still not there now, but I daresay I might have been off 13 instead of 14 yesterday. Not that it would have made any difference as I was well down the leaderboard anyway.

Nothing can be done about it. Clubs are supposed to enter scores promptly if they dont, then take the good with the bad.

Its not only what it costs, but how much they charge for an update, if like the other provider, charge an extortion fee to lift a finger, like alter a distance on a hole.

MiScore is about $4k. Compare that to the cost of printing cards and it’s not far of square in the end. MiClub v MPower (MPower sucks and their support is even worse) is much of a much easier price wise.

The great thing about MiClub is that everything is somewhat modular- you can get the backbone fairly cheaply and then add features as they become required.

MPower is a pile of turd.
