    Default Equipment dumbo.

Things that get inside your bat and pad.
    I'll start.

Bought a set of Srixon ZX7 irons 4-p off nudgee and used them for a month. Liked them but couldn't figure out why Srixon had decided to make the 4 & 5 irons so chunky for their 7 series. Went to sell them and the potential buyer pointed out that the 4 & 5 were ZX5 and it was a blended set.

A few years ago, the pro shop at my club had just received the latest AP2 heads for the Titleist fitting cart.

I was keen to try them, so I made one up and went over to the desk to get the okay to take it to the range.

Pro says 'aren't you right handed?'

I had made up a left handed club

Pro called me 'lefty' for a few weeks.

More than once I have pulled the cover off a club to play a shot and realised I hadn't yet taken the plastic off of it. I can recall peter_rs, if I remember correctly, doing the same thing during a round at Nudgee! And if I do remember it right it might even have been the whole set of irons!

I was chatting with a guy who had upgraded his hybrid to the latest model and had been using it for a month.(plays at least 4 times a week and has two lessons a week) He told me it went lower but way longer and was so happy that he got rid of his fairway. Had a game with him and true to his word it was long and low. Checked it out and it still had the plastic on the head.

A mate saved some money, by getting a mutual friend bring back the latest Callaway driver and 3w from the US, that he had demo'ed locally.

For 7 holes, neither club performed anything like expected, and thought they were knock-offs. That's when someone pointed out that the driver looked 2" shorter than standard and the 3w 2" longer.

It turned out that he only picked them up on the first tee, and had screwed the wrong shafts into the wrong heads.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.

I was lining up a a very long putt for an 8 on our 3rd hole after having a birdie birdie start, so i was steaming, and realised someone changed my putter to left handed. Exactly Same look, colour and shape as my putter. Then i am trying to figure out how i putted with it on the first 2 holes. Bewilderment was an understatement.

As it turns out. Some numbnut left hander had put his putter in my bag when on practice putting green. Anyway, i made the putt.

The match committee ( ie pimple faced kid in pro shop) ruled incorrectly.

I think under new rules you can declare an extra club out of play before you start, and keep it in your bag no penalty. Under old rules you could not do that, and must discard it.
