I made this swongweight calculator 15 years ago, apparently. I dont even remember doing it, but someone might find it helpful. Just add in all the weights and measurements of the components and bingo

I assume this sharing link will work

Ok, so I'm reshafting a club head I have here. I originally shoved some weight down the shaft, and added lead tape to the head to get it to the sw I wanted.
Now that I'll be driving another what in it, can I just add weight to the shaft tip to get to the sw sand feel I'm after? Again, I haven't tested what the sw will come out to, but it did require a lot of weight. Is there a point where adding too much weight into the shaft tip affects the feel of the club, even if the sw is right? Or is it fine to do whatever I need?

I heard up to 10g tip weight is not significant enough to impact. Too much would drag COG towards heel.

That's what I was wondering about! I didn't know if the weight being in the shaft itself would have an effect on that or not.

The other thing to be considered is whether the shaft is counterbalanced which has an affect on swingweight.

KBS Tour iron shafts are, so are many modern graphite shafts for "woods".

    Cool.
I just pulled a ping cs lite stiff shaft out of a wedge I'll no longer use, and am gonna stick my old carnagie clark 10i in it. Dry fit it came out to C8, which matches my irons. But I wanna get it out to at least where my 56* and 60* are, which is D4. And the Ping ChipR club is at E6....... and I think they know a little bit more about clubs and performance than me!
And then thinking of getting the proshop to see if they can bend it 2 to 3* weaker. I wanna increase the loft and also the bounce. But I have to be careful as this was one of my dad's favourite clubs.
