Brisbane/Gold Coast
Any idea where is a likely place that I can book a game this coming Saturday in Brisbane or Gold Coast?

Lots of places potentially.
Some comps listed here:
SE Qld OPEN Days (ozgolf.net)
There may be openings at resorty courses too.

Trend around here is very full on saturdays, plus its MM week so even fuller. But most will allow a visitor to book on Friday PM at earliest, and likely you will only get tee times >11.30
Royal Helensvale has plenty after 12.00, would love to host you but I have to flee the club by 3.30pm and so far i cant get even get a tee time for myself.
I suggest do a ring around saturday morning starting with courses closest at about 9am once the morning field has been sent off and take the first one you can get.

Criticism doesn't bother me, as it means I am doing something and people are watching.

Brookwater? I'll need to see if they'll bend the "no guests before 12 on Saturdays" rule given there are currently plenty of spaces 11am onwards.

I rang Brookwater this afternoon and booked just after 12pm, that will give me plenty of time to finish before it is dark. Thanks for the help guys

Do you have any golf course recommendation near Brisbane CBD where you can rental clubs? Im going there with work colleagues and thinking to do a short 9 holes round. The one I can see is Victoria Park Golf course which is near CBD but thought check with the experts here if you have any other suggestion Thank you in advance.

Thank you in advance.
Victoria Park golf course is closed, and there is only a mini golf and driving range there now. St Lucia is another fully public course that is close to the CBD, and has club hire.

Nearly all courses would have club hire though.

We played mini golf there with the kids and lunch afterwards, which was pretty good. Nice set up close to the city.

The council wanted the land as green space for the public. A council owned golf course that anyone can play isn’t that.

It will also be the Olympics Equestrian course, which is a very exciting use of the land.
