Nice score, but it could easily have been better. Driver was a inconsistent, and I don't think I went after it enough. With the exception of a couple of shots, the irons were off until I made a slight change on the second nine; it was the same change that I had made during a practice hit on Thursday, so I must have slipped back.

I'd like three shots over again, as they were complete wastes. The thin and long approach on the 9th with wedge in hand, when the round had momentum. The heeled scrubby drive on 10 that went into the hazard, leading to the shot out of the water. And the shank with a 40m approach on the 17th, where I over thought the shot, instead of just getting it on the green.

Glimpses of the good stuff, but just not putting it altogether yet.
Just curious, what handicap do you compare yourself to for your strokes gained?

I post the scratch SG here, and for myself look at that and 5. I've been working on my game this year, and the handicap has gone from 8 to 9 in that time, so Arccos has worked wonders for me.

24 points yesterday in pretty ordinary conditions. Today the conditions were a lot better, and I managed 32 points. 9 fairways, 2 greens (+ 3 "fringes in regulation" though 😅), 28 putts. 58% up and downs.

I began the process of getting fitted for new irons before the round as well. Today was just testing swing speed with a 7 iron, which came in at 88mph. After that I hit a few balls with an AP2 head on what I'm assuming was a shaft similar to what would suit my swing. I liked the smaller head, and it also felt a lot lighter to swing compared to my current irons. Looking more forward to upgrading now.
