I don’t care where he plays, I only watch the 5 majors.

    I just want the chaos.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

As the media have said, it will be one of the biggest tournaments in Australian history with the amount of players we don't normally get to witness.

And the ratings and attendance for the Aussie open was up. I'd say because of Cam Smith and Liesh etc being able to fit it into schedule.

Anyone who isnt a yank should if possible sign with LIV.

Yanks can fly home Sunday nights and then to events on the Tuesday / Wednesday and been with the kids.

Not a luxury for those that didnt grow up in the states.

I think the reported sign on fees for LIV golf have always got it wrong. Those huge numbers are really the total and potential over the term or their captain contract and team ownership. I am not 100% sure but i dont think anyone has outright stated their sign on fee.

Considering a deal is meant to be done by the years end, Rahm could quite easily be teeing it up on the PGA tour in Janruary.

Shipnuck released some figures in his new book, if you choose to believe him... Alot of the contracts were equity based by the sound of it alright.

    I dont beleive Shipnuck.

But i do believe Jon Rahm when he said today that his contract $$ are personal and he wont tell anyone at all.

It just don't add up, as Foghorn Leghorn used to say.

If I was Rahm I'd want to see the money up front and in my account before buying another mansion. Maybe they are paying in Bitcoin. LIV wouldn't be paying up if they weren't very confident that their team competition product will continue for the long term. Either that, or they are very confident they have tight get out clauses if the whole thing falls apart.

Either way, it's bad for golf. But golf is already worse than it was before LIV started.

Nah. LIV is shambolic, but anything that hurts the PGA Tour is great for golf overall.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

    Amen.

And the fact the PIF don’t care about golf makes it more fun.
