Pat Perez picks up his 4th payout of 750k for the teams event. But this time his scores actually counted.

So 3 Million bucks in teams prizemoney alone. Compared to 2 million for last 2 full seasons on PGa tour. And this is for a guy who will go down in history as "who"

As Benno said. The PGA Tour site takes you to the 2021 Leaderboard, if you click on the full Leaderboard button.

I wonder which courses said no apart from Royal Sydney whose decision was leaked.

not sure how many other courses can afford to say no to 5 mil, I know that’s what’s been offered to host.

I understood Liv has only been scouting for options. Seems unlikely they have made any offers yet.

There's been a number of courses allegedly being considered. As well as the above I have also heard mention of Brookwater, Cathedral Lodge and Palmer Coolum. I'm sure there's plenty more, too.

SA Premier seems pretty keen to have them.

Malinauskus is big on sporting events as drawcards for tourism - see the return of the Adelaide 500 later this year.

I don't see how they could use Brookwater - no space for spectators.

Yeah...logistics is just as important as the course. clearly King Island would be the best, but the worst for getting crowds there.

Mind you, so is Royal Portrush. The national highway running past the front gate is a bicycle path. Stuffed if i know how they did it.

Cathedral Lodge has already got an 'invitational' event coming, gone from being ultra exclusive to pimping itself out, I wonder who the designer is???

That was my immediate thought too.

No doubt Greg Normal was promoting his own courses...

There aren't many genuinely good "tournament venues" that can provide the golf and spectator quality and the logistics for an event like this. And also be bold enough to host it.

I would have thought The Australian would be the pick. There's nothing in Queensland that ticks all the boxes.

Needs somewhere that can accommodate a 48 player driving range, that’s the biggest challenge in finding a venue.
