Yeah it’s fair enough. Closed shop doesn’t help them.

The OWGR only exists to figure out who qualifies for the majors. There’s nothing stopping the majors inviting the top whatever number in the LIV standings or winners of LIV tournaments the same way they do with OWGR and PGA tour.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

This is a very good point. They could, if they wanted to, make the winners of events, or the top 5 in the end of year standings, qualify for any event they want. In my opinion, that would actually be a good compromise. But the majors probably won't do it.

Looking forward to going to the second LIV Aus tourny in Adelaide next year, tickets on sale early Dec. Also looking forward to driving on their first fairway and the Grange "get off my lawn" disgruntled minority of members

Anyone else popping along again next year?

No doubt is breath life back into the game in this Country.
Happy Gilmore style golf tournaments aren’t my thing. I’m not their target audience though.
I wouldn’t go a far as carrying on like some Members if it was held at a Club I was a member of. Small inconvenience for small amount of time.

Other than 54 holes for whoever went to get pissed because the races weren’t on, LIV has made absolutely no difference to anything.

But, they're doing it to 'grow the game'. 😁

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

As a positive, the Aus Open field this year is possibly stronger with the LIV guys desperate for World Ranking points to qualify for majors next year.

That might be a good thing?

Not that you'll here anything from Golf Australia promoting that fact.
    Forum needs more banter.

Funny thing is Hatch; if you hang out at the back of the course, it actually resembles normal golf. In fact it’s pretty quiet and easy to watch. Loved it this year and will be attending all 3 days next year

Pretty handy mehs, Niemann has been on the Presidents Cup team belted them at Riviera last year, Periera was a few rolls of the ball or a good caddying call from winning a PGA.

Neither would get a crowd in like a Rory, Scheffer or even DJ.

Well, if we wanna see Rory and Scheffler here we just need to host a PGA Tour event here! Shouldn't be too hard to arrange should it??

Fair chance Rory will cop a bit of a hiding from the crowd if he comes here.

I was hoping the LIV Promotions Event would have lots of interesting names that would provide a bit of intrigue and interest.

Sadly, there isn't much. Lots of hasbeens like Jason Dufner looking for another shot mainly. I thought anybody outside the top 100 with little prospect of playing in majors would be having a go, but all the Euro guys didn't put their hand up.

There is hardly anybody in this list that LIV would actually want, I'd think.

    Go Hendy!

Yeah, surprised more didnt turn out. Pretty sure that PGAT said nobody is gonna be sanctioned for playing this event.

They did, but didn’t they say that either on the day nominations closed or very close to it?

So what's the feel. Rahm in or out??

Would be a massive move. Possibly the domino that makes a few more fall?

3 years time it'll all be together, one way or another
