Just wondering if anyone has any feedback with the CT numbers on Tour Issue driver heads, what are the better numbers & is there much difference between them

“Tour issue” generally means that the heads are tested for CT and the higher ones selected. The difference between 257 (max within the USGA/R&A rules including the tolerance of 1 and 239 for a 110mph swing speed would in the region of less than 8yds of carry.

I'd pay extra for 8 yards... of course it's only 8 yards if you're comparing to opposite ends of the spectrum

There is no chance of getting a head that is hotter than the limits with a "tour issue" club. There is a chance you unmeasured retail head is above the limit.

Why waste your time and money on a "slow" "tour issue" club???

I reckon the last published results indicate you’ve got about a 30% chance of getting a hot driver off the tour.

Yeah I saw Johhny wonder saying the tour heads are often slow as they beat so many balls they get hotter as the season goes on.

Now is that just BS or some truth. I don't know. But it did make some sense

I also read that the faces get hotter as they are used.

I also viewed the same video....it would be interesting to know what is the truth.

Also heard the the Pro players drivers face is thicker & needs to be due to them hitting the ball more consistently in the middle & if not they would split a off the shelf driver

If it's one of the new in plastic TI heads there is 0% chance. Cant be giving a tour player a driver thats an instant DQ if measured. If its been used for a bit, all bets are off.

The funny thing about TI heads are all the ones for sale in plastic are the ones REJECTED by the pros. It's an awesome money generator though.

Johnny Wunder is an actor. Now he is an actor paid by Callaway, next year, who knows…Tour issue woods are hotter based upon testing I did this week. And I didn’t tell the pro. A TI M4 head outperformed two Current drivers. Same shafts etc.I wouldn’t take any notice of JW, he is the Rory of Callaway. “A subsidiary”QUOTE=Matt 3 Jab;1460983]Yeah I saw Johhny wonder saying the tour heads are often slow as they beat so many balls they get hotter as the season goes on.
