    Default Go the Lions!!!!!!

Just got home from the Gabba after watching an awesome performance.
Once again Brisbane are coming good at the right end of the season and today they gave St Kilda a footy lesson.
The full house crowd at the Gabba knew how important todays game was and the atmosphere was electric, great to be there. :P

You're kidding aren't you, Gaz. I would hardly call two wins in their last four matches coming good. One of those wins against the side that was on the bottom of the ladder at the time.

Although I don't expect them to lose to the Kangaroos next week, I am sure they will put up a better fight than St Kilda, who have gone missing for the majority of the second half of the year.

I will agree that it was an awesome performance, and has surely set up two home finals for them. Hopefully one of these finals will be against Sydney or West Coast. :P

You've found some voice today AP - the Hawks had their win for the year! And just quietly, they're 1/2 a chance to finish above Richmond.

But even your bipartisan fans would have loved Carlton's win yesterday. All over in the 3rd quarter, and even had the common sense not to win by 40+ and cost me money

Comes down to Friday night - Carlton vs Collingwood. Playing at Collingwood's home turf - i.e. any location as long as it's played on Friday night. Winner finishes above the other... Blakey?

At least you have been following them for a while, Gaz, unlike the 30,000 of your fairweather friends that were at the Gabba today.
In fact I was a season ticket holder of the Bears/Lions for 4 years.

You're right. Wow, what a big match.
    Tough one to tip actually.

Please explain. We are not like Western Australians who support both Fremantle and West Coast.
I don't get any joy out of any Carlton win.

Just a typical Hawks supporter really can't find anyone to cheer for so they have to find someone to cheer against. :P

If only I could find a Richmond supporter to hang some shite on.

I have no problem cheering for the most successful team of the last 50 years. :P

    Careful cheery - glass houses

Besides, unlike the odd Hawks supporter, do you think they are silly enough to come out at a time like this?!

I never claimed they were in? By geez they got close though - there wouldn't have been a single parochial Blues supporter that would have thought 9 wins was a possibility.

    Enjoy your extra draft picks

Just thought you were jumping up and down too much for a team that didn't make the finals. You should be happy with 9 wins, but hardly reason for celebration. It looks like there may be a future though.

Sure will. Most teams are "fortunate" enough to be able to participate in the first round of the draft.

Fishy, what's wrong with you. Anyone would think you actually like the Lions. I have a go at them, and you turn it into a Hawks bagging session.

I removed a line in the last post that claimed that Carlton were the best performing team supported by anyone at this site, other than those 'bandwagon' supporters And then there's Onabreak and his Roos, but i was willing to (knowingly) overlook that.

But i'll take any chance to bag a team to make Carlton look good... especially if it's Collingwood... FG/Blakey?

They have been rather quiet in the second half of the season, haven't they? It's been a hard fall from runners up.
