When I did my club list in the app, I have marked my driver as a ping model just to make sure

Got mine a few days ago. Used link today. A lot better than the phone in the pocket.

    Hello

Just wondering how many rounds people get out of the “link” gadget before having to charge it again

They don't claim to last any more than one round. For multiple rounds in a day, you need a USB charger.

I was sure I read that it'll last 10 hours. I got 2 rounds out of mine?!

I think I will put a power bank in the bag next 36 hole and give it a top up at 18

What I meant to say was that it won't last one round, plus a couple of beers in the clubhouse before you remember to turn it off, then a second round after that.

Thinking about signing up for the sensors + caddy offer. Do you have to sign up for an arccos subscription as well? Anyone want to provide some comments from the course about how these will improve my game?

Their model is based around the subscriptions. Without it, you won't be able to do anything.

The data will indicate the areas where you can improve compared to other players at your level or your goal level.

lots of good and interesting data. if you aren't into that kind of thing then don't bother. its good to check out how bad Yoss is at chipping with it though as you can keep tabs on your mates.

I have just been charged an annual subscription for Arccos, even though I have no account and have not yet loaded or set up the App. I looked back at the original email and it did mention the free trail ended in July. But there hasn't been any email since about a Subscription fee being charged.

i cancelled mine prior to the free trial finishing. its expensive and not without its issues. they weren't easy to deal with to cancel the subscription. they're cheeky bastards i reckon.

I too have just sent them an email to cancel.
It's honestly not worth the hassle.
Half of my shots weren't detected, and that's after I followed every step in the Arccos bible.

I'll stick to Golfshot. That's enough for me.

I prefer V1game. I just use the free version, so GPS and map layouts. No stats or SG. But both are good at what theyre doing. with Arccos also feel like a bit of a wanker having that black&green thing sticking out the club. Right up there with iron covers i think.
