When you sign up. there is a little message that states you'll be charged after the free period ends. Mine stated a monthly fee, so it's surprising that they nailed you with the annual fee.

I cancelled, provided an explanation, received an official cancellation email the next day, which I responded to and it was offically cancelled after that.

    Thanks Johnny,

yes I had checked the email, but I have changed computer since and my reminder got lost in the transfer, so I had forgotten about it. You would expect a reminder email from Accros, or even an email telling me they had charged me ( I only found out when I looked at my card account online). I have not even taken the Caddie/Link out of its packaging as yet, nor even set up an account or downloaded the App.

    As to the fee, it says it is a monthly fee, but billed annually;

Membership Fee at end of trial on July 08, 2022:

    $12.99/mo (billed annually)

All feels a bit tricky, as Simmsy said.

I have requested cancellation of membership (there was a link in the original email) and now await a confirmation email.

They don't send a reminder on the annual renewal, or an email that they have the wrong credit card details either. I only knew it had failed, once I tried to use the app on the first tee.

Also be wary of them charging you again in 1 year despite the cancellation. That happened to me.

No confirmation of cancellation email or refund as yet. When I re-click the cancellation link it tells me the Subscription has been cancelled, but nothing else. May need to get Bank to bounce the payment for me.

My sensors got lost in shipping so they extended my free trial by 45 days. They then billed me for the annual subscription at the end of the original trial period with no notice.

I sent an email Tuesday requesting cancellation and refund. Done and had my money Wednesday night.

Sounds like almost every service that has a free trial, its up to us to cancel and go out of their way to make that not so obvious (and no reminders).

This is true. I have set a reminder for myself to cancel the free trial of Stan this weekend.

I have a full set at home if anyone wants them, signed up for the trial and by the time I got them I was sick of the spam emails they sent so I never even tried them.

And the refund processed straight away and back in the card account. So another for them.

We are reliant on third-party map providers (Apple Maps and Google Maps), to provide us with updated images. If the images are up-to-date, we will be able to update the course for you. If the images are not up-to-date, we will report the image as being outdated (to Apple and Google) in the hopes we get an updated image as soon as possible.
"In the hopes" isn't good enough considering the cost of an Arccos subscription. The image for my course would have to be five years old or more, so no changes are reflected, and it makes using the app during a round painful. I just noticed that Oxley hasn't been updated either.

How much does the subscription cost?
Is it worth getting these just to have them around, if things improve? And if they're free?
If you're connecting via your phone, does it have to be on your person, not in your bag with the app open?
Even if I wouldn't use them, maybe my daughters bf would like to try? I have about a bag and a half of ping clubs here. So can I get a heap of them?

$233 in one hit, not month by month.
its not worth it given what other systems are out there.

Please don’t order them. I don’t have time to read the updates.

They are useless unless you subscribe. And there seem to be plenty getting around for free, even just on this forum.

    Front pocket of pants.

I don't know. I doubt a young person would want to stump up the cash for the yearly subscription.

I thought it was only recent Ping clubs, but it might not even matter now, as they seem to give them away, and rely on the subscription money.

Who? Gamegolf weren't great. Shotscope then? What do they cost?
Maybe it is just better using Broadie's app, and estimating distances.
