    Default Mizuno Pro 223

I borrowed a fitting club today and took it to the grass range at the club. Firstly, how good do they look, Mizuno just gets it right. Fitted with a modus 105S, the first swing was pure. It launched off the face and was just butter. Next swing was the same. Grabbed my MP18 mmc and put a good swing on it. First thing I noticed was the loss of distance, by eye about 5 metres. But the flight, my gaming 7 iron after 4 swings, had a lower ball flight.
Needless to say I am in negotiations to get a set built. Will be putting the MP 18's up for sale to fund the new purchase

I've been reading that the new Pro 22x series have high ball speeds, so that could be part of the difference in distance.
Do you also have the Modus 105S in your MP18s?

Good luck with the new irons, they are very pretty.

That’s good. Report back when in hand and when a few rounds in. Enjoy!

Another of the converted here too! I have gone from MP25's (modus 105) then MP18 SC's (Modus 120) and currently JPX 921 Tours (Modus 120) and took up the Pureform deal a few weeks back to check my irons and driver. I didn't think I would like anything better than the JPX's but, like you, I picked up half a club - more importantly for me, 2-3* in better launch angle. Also, my bad hit is low in the face and the 223's performed better than my old MP18sc's did in this department. Shafts stayed the same Modus 120s.

As for the driver testing, my TSi3 is staying in my bag.

    I have 225/223 combo

223 from 7 iron to Gap wedge.

    Modus 105S.

They are expensive but outstanding. Recommend people get to a Demo Day and try them

Shafts in the MP18 are Project X LZ 120 stiff. I dont swing quite fast enough any more to get them out their these days. Any help is appreciated

I balked at the price originally, but was able to do a payment scheme over 2 months, after an initial lump sum. That will give me time to sell the MP's, a couple of drivers and a couple of putters to finance them.

About 1 or 2 weeks. I would like to get them by late next week, we have pennant finals at Werribee on the 22nd. If I get a few holes or a session on the range with them,I may take them with me.
