LPGA Surprises & Disappointments 2022
it’s still pretty early in the season as the LPGA has completed about 25% of its 2022 schedule, but I don’t think it is too early to take a look at some of the players with results that have been the biggest surprises and biggest disappointments of the year so far.

I enjoyed the boys and girls playing in the same tournament.
but cant watch them by themselves... the golf courses are just setup in the most boring Pitch and Putt way.

Did you watch HSBC in Singapore, played in Sentosa? I can assure you its no pitch and putt.

Anyone who thinks the LPGA courses are set up like pich and putt has no idea what they are talking about. I want to see him go out and beat these girls.

Have played with them and have caddied for them and have also talked to them about it. And i confirm that the parkland courses are setup like roads and the rough usually is cut much shorter. Dont mind watching the girls in Europe as the skills on display are more relatable due to wind and courses...
Technically, i like watching the girls as due to their lack of strength they HAVE to be bio-mechanically correct and it is easier to see how their swing works. Especially how their hands work across their body... the boys move too quickly and you dont see the nuance.
BUT, it is boring golf to watch... it just is.

A leopard never changes it's spots however Lexi did.
Remarked her ball and shifted it to avoid a pitchmark being on her line.

I've witnessed a low marker who plays pennants for my club. He will deliberately throw the ball marker an inch or 2 in front of the ball.

"I didn't intentionally, I just put it where I put it"
"Is this a joke"
Before the rule change all of us have been placed in a similar situation and just take it as a bad rub. In the same category as a foot wedge or a FNQ recovery shot/throw.

We had a low marker at my club who did a similar thing, especially in club champs matches he would mark his ball then replace it 2-3 inches in front on the marker.
One of my mates caught him doing it and told him to replace the ball in its correct position which rattled him no end, my mate won the match.

I had the same thing happen but in a monthly medal stroke round. Told him to just remark it a few more times and he wouldn't need to putt.

I caddied for a pennant player, who marked the ball at the side and then replaced the ball in front of the marker, when surrounded by players, committees, etc. from two clubs, with matches tied 3-3.
I had the dilemma of calling him out, then thought I may have missed a re-marking move whilst his opponent was putting, as no-one mentioned it.
When he did the same two weeks later, I stopped volunteering to caddy for the club.

Cheating happens at all levels. Lol. But you would think on PGA and LPGA, with all the cameras, they wouldn't be so blatant about it.

I will never understand why people do this, surely the extra ball width advantage you gain doesn’t do anything for you. Why do it?

At elite level who knows, but if someone is a pathological liar or cheat, then I think its second nature to them as they beleive in their own delusions. Which is why they have unusual reactions when caught.
