Default New to OzGolf... and the country!

Afternoon all, I recently moved to Sydney's eastern suburbs from the UK and once the rain stops I am looking forward to getting out and playing some golf!

Welcome Shents, to the country where the weather is warm(er) and the beer is cold.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Hi all, thanks for the welcome messages! Around Nottingham for the most part, am fairly new to golf so haven’t taken the plunge in terms of membership

welcome. i'm a member at eastlakes. one of the better quality / $ tradeoff courses in the area.
think there is a waiting list / joining fee at the moment depending on when you want to play
social clubs also give you a good variety of courses to play if you don't mind travelling a bit.
used to play with sga golf https://www.socialgolfaustralia.com....events-in-nsw/
