Default Course closure due to rain?

Folks, how's you home course holding up with this rain?

At Killara, it's been pretty much closed since 22 February, and we only have 3 playable days since then.

Heard Terry Hills is in same boat as well, with Lynwood gone.

It will be quicker to list the courses in Greater Sydney that are open.
    Forum needs more banter.

You can add The Australian, Lakes and Royal Sydney as they are all sand based.

Manly GC was closed from 23rd February until 22nd March but after another 53ml last night is closed again.

I played last Saturday and the rough was really long in some places, all fairway bunkers out of play but the greens were excellent.

Eastlakes closed for about 5 days back in early March. Blessed with good drainage and a committed team keeping grass at bay. Course actually looking immaculate until they cored greens and fairways last Monday.

Today and tomorrow they are not letting carts out though.

Good news is the practice areas were built above the flood levels.

Bad news is March's turfing plans depended on getting supply from the farms beside Lynwood.

A mate was in the Serb Golf association Champs at Riverside Oaks last week. Bungool is still under a foot of mud, and the old course was playable for 9 holes each day (not sure if due to the rain on the day or just too wet underfoot).

After the original deluge in Feb the driving range at Terrey Hills changed their opening time from 9am to 11am as it been taken much longer to collect the balls with many just plugging.

It was back to 10am for the last few weeks but now 11am to 7pm with last entry at 6pm until April 15th.

Same as last year ... 14 temporary greens from May, and re-seeded greens from July.

Manly closed through Sunday, forecast for next week doesn’t look great either.

Course Super said this morning that his team can’t even take any vehicles on the course and that was before the heavy rain today with a Friday forecast of another 20-40mm.
