I played today for the first time since the rain a month ago. The course is still not fully recovered but they’ve done a hell of a lot of work to get it playable again. Heavy rain yesterday and last night didn’t help.

    An enjoyable 34 points.

    Default WDYSTM - March 2022

    Palmer Sea Reef yesterday.

Perfect start topping one off the 1st into the PI$$.
Re-teed and made a dirty birdie though.

Played pretty decent for the most part, however made 2 doubles - both after getting flyers over the back of the green.

Finished birdie birdie for 75(+4) for 33 pts.
    Collected an NTP as well.

The big positive was putting- got a new putter which is a variation of an existing design and putted well. First time strokes gained putting wasn’t that of a 30 handicapper for quite some time. Yay for me.

I also attended Palmer Sea Reef yesterday and I'm a ****ing idiot who should never have started playing this game 20-something years ago and I hate my parents for living so ****ing close to the golf course and for playing the stupid ****ing game so that my brother's would also play the game and therefore instill in me the want to play the game and I'm ****ing furious with the way I played and have been playing and I can't believe I was remotely tempted to even ****ing play yesterday considering all the above and I'm a ****ing moron and I don't want to touch a ****ing golf club ever again and I should give the ****ing game up because I'm just a stupid ****ing talentless hack who can't play to save his life and should give the ****ing game away. ****.

I too played at Palmer on Friday. My swing was a bit off, and consequently I just couldn't get anything going until it was too late. I did sort it with 4 holes to go (amazing what a single swing thought can do) and played them quite well. 28pts.

Yesterday I carried on with that swing thought and lit the place up... 7 birdies (easily a PB for a single round) to finish with 39pts (-1 playing off 2). This round had everything... a double bogey wipe after duck-hooking a 3-wood into the piss, a hitler, a 3-putt. But all of that was negated by a combination of the birdie flurry and a total of 25 putts.

37 points off the whites at Alice Springs Golf Club.
Only one wipe, and one wayward drive. Stealth working well.

27 points at Oxley off the whites. I did have a lesson prior to this round which will help overall but initially I tend to spray them a bit. Will get some practice in during the week before next weekend. Monthly medal and a social club game coming up.

Nett 69 7/8 in a Pinehurst today with a young junior for 2nd place. Combined fairly well.

Managed to avoid major trouble, just the one double bogey, one birdie made, and parred 4 of the last 5 coming home in some heat.

    What a stupid game.

Did you teach the junior some good curses, and steer them away from the sport?

Golf has been crap for a while as I deal with back and hip issues, but 28 points first try around RA, same at Mt Compass. We wont talk about Blackwood. Like Bruno. We dont talk about Bruno.
