We used to have a Hooker here at ozgolf, she was lovely.
We have a member named Lindsay (L) McPherson. I call him the most disappointing golf partner of all time. Looks nothing like Elle at all!

There was a guy playing up way north with surname Kerr, but commonnly known as Wayne behind his back, some people did think it was his name and used it.
My club has a Duncan Pickup. People mistake him for Simmsy.
Wasn't some bloke Shank in contention last weekend at Torrey?

I seem to end up in the same group with a bloke whose last name is Mulligan a lot.
So when Lefty says he needs a Mulligan, the Naga responds with ... ?

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.
I recall an article from the Border Watch (Mt Gambier's local paper) a few years back that had the club champs finalist as Jason Shank.
He lost.
We have a Haack.
The normal protocol for calling names to the tee is initial and surname.
A woman at The Lakes had the unfortunate luck to be named Cathy Micock. They all agreed to just call her to the tee as "Cathy".
Forum needs more banter.
