Both courses are pretty good at the moment, the roughs a bit crap due to recent rains, You would be happy with either but the bay is a little better (and cheaper) both have a Sunday comp

Not 100% sure but I think the bay is 35/40ish for a visitor to walk. Just give them a call.

    Nice one.

37 points at Half Moon Bay. Fairly steady golf, only one double bogey.

Second round of clubbies. The course has dried right out and is tough.Their were some horrible bounces, bare lies and slick greens. Best score of the day was my 81ots, quite a few players in A grade shooting hi 80's.I have a 1 shot lead going into the last round next week, neat to get some heat on the putter

Had an 82 off the stick in social round at caboolture this morning. Would have been net 67 off my 15 handicap.

Pretty happy as its the best round ive had since getting back into golf.

Although was 9 over after 4 then was 2 over for the remaining 14 so kicking myself for the shocker start

Rubbish 29 points at Oxley today. Just one of those days where no part of my game really worked. Putts kept grazing the edge, lost three balls, just couldn't get the swing going. I did hit a few nice chips and short pitches though, getting more used to these new wedges so that was a positive out of an otherwise ordinary day.

    Default WDYSTM - February 2022

13/02/2021, Wolston Park GC, Blue Tees, Social.

    Score: XPBBXPBBP PPPPPPPBb; 43:32:75 (+8:E:+8).
    Played to 10.6. SCH: 8.7 (-0.0).

Fresh off my first ever proper lesson, I was excited to get out there and try the adjustments, including a grip change. I rope hooked the first drive into the piss....

From then on, I struggled a bit with consistency with the longer clubs, but the shorter irons were good, when given the chance.

Putting was bad on the front nine, not so much because I was missing putts, but by how much. Once I got my head out of the way for putting, it significantly improved.

There was definitely a consistency to my whole game on the back nine, and with a bird on the last, I managed an even par back nine. I did abandon a grip change to hit a hybrid though. Is that cheating?

Here's the run of my six rounds this year: 86, 80, 79, 77, 76, 75. Give me a dozen or so more rounds, and I might break 60, I'd take an even par 67 though.

27 hungover points on Saturday, no 3 pointers, and no putts made over 5 foot.

Pennant Sunday, was 3 up after 3 and even par, then a wayward drive on 5 lead to a loss, a missed 5 foot slider on 9, and him making birdie on 10 saw the match squared. He made a 30 footer for par on 11 to win the hole, I missed another 8 footer with my second lip out of the day.

12 halved in birdies, I stole one back on 13, then domed my drive on 14 to give it back and be one down. Won 15 with a bogey, lost 16 with my 3rd 8 foot lipout.

17 I hit a perfect drive, he was in all sorts so I felt great about it all. My approach was all over the flag, but I failed to consider the new green was made out of concrete and I ended up 20 foot long - in someones 1 inch deep unfilled divot. And that was the match lost. Great game, I was 2 over cap to there so played well, but some days you get beaten playing well.

Team won 4/2, and we are top of the ladder after 2 rounds.

Heres hoping I get another game next week.

Depends if the captain/selectors do anything other than look at results.

Caddied for a mate years ago, guy he was playing was conservatively 7 under when we lost 6/5, we were evenish. Another mate in the team won 1up, asked him how he played, said like a busted and was probably 6-7 over.

Yep, the 7 over plays the following week, my bag got sacked.

We have a squad of 8 for 6 spots every week - and 7 for finals. Team rule, you win you are in, you lose its up to the Captain and Manager to make the calls. With one guy away this week, one of us will be a lucky loser - and its the top of the table clash.

Friday arvo chook run, played on our 2300m par 36 course. With a GA of 4.8, I was off +1 for the day.
Bogeyed the first, then birdied 7 of the next 8 for 30 off the stick, 23 points and a played to plus 2 on the handicap record 😱

All square after 6 and turned at +5. Then it went bad.

32 (22/11). 7 doubles, 2 birdies. All kinds of special.

    Best ever today!!

First time in the 60’s, lowest under par, helped by a deuce on the par 4 16th (for those paying attention - my nemesis hole).

68 off the bat (-3 on the white course)
    40 pts off 1
Out in +2, home in -5 (note I got a pint at the turn )

    Wow! Nice shooting Bushy!

I had 82 off the stick today, killed a good chance to break 80 with a couple of missed drives and 3 putts dying just before the hole. 39 points. Leading B grade at the moment. After an awful round yesterday too ...

Well done Pete. Ironically, you are beating (on a CB) one of our group from yesterday. Unfortunately, not me. I played better, but followed too many 3 pointers with a 1 or a wipe for a modest 31pts. I did pick up a NTP and a kick in birdie on 6.
