Same story as last year. I'd like to play different courses, but my regular playing partner just wants to play our home course. It took until a month ago before I played anywhere else, then added another course last week.
1. Wolston Park (home)
2. Laidley
3. Virginia
My second trip to Laidley in the last six months, but a massive change in condition after all of the rain that we have had. I thought it was a fun course anyway, but now it is much nice to play, as they don't have preferred lies in play for the first time in probably a decade or more. If you have been interested in making a visit to the course, I'd recommend doing it soon, before it dries out again. About $25 for around.
I also played Virginia for the first time in 12 years. It is still a bit soggy, as it got flooded recently, but conditioning was good overall. Nice enough course, but not overly inspiring either. I paid $25 on a Monday afternoon, which was a good price.

After this trip I’ll definitely be doing it more often. Not as far as Tassie, not as expensive as Melbourne and everything is so close together- we put <$8 of fuel in the hire car at the end
Obviously you need some decent access to get all of these across a weekend but it’s clearly doable.

Would love to know your thoughts on Horsham and Port Fairy.
I loved them both for different reasons.

Absolutely loved Port Fairy and it was every bit as good as I hoped it would be. I only got to play the front 9 as they had a shot gun start Veterans comp on the day. If I'd been an hour earlier I would have got the full 18. I'll be planning a return visit for sure before years out. I can see it would be brutal when the wind gets up but fairways are generous enough.
I'm a bit befuddled how I see Horsham. I was excited with the hype about the course I've herd over the years but it just didn't excite me to the same level. It was in great condition wise and I liked the variety of holes but the Greens just frustrated the hell out of me. I'm usually a pretty good reader but all day I just could not seem to read them at all consistently. The others I played with had the same issue. Maybe it's just a case of local knowledge being a factor. Fairways would have to be some of the widest I have ever played which is a good ego trip finding the low cut stuff more often than used to.

How was Bordertown? What was the best hole?

I liked Bordertown a fair bit. It's a very nice country track. Good variety and a mix of tight off the tee and open holes. A few of the holes it's hard to tell the lest trouble side to miss on so it would play a little different the second time around. Every Green has 1 or more bunkers.
As for the best hole something about the short par 4 9th stood out as a risk reward hole.
I took photos of every hole but haven't got around to uploading them.
