In perspective winning one of those rebel events would only give you enough coin to buy a house in Tasmania.
Looks like no interest from the big TV networks.

Is there interest from anybody, except certain sections of the golf media? Greg Norman can whinge all he likes, but I don't think too many believe that his primary concern is 'growing the game'.
I note today's news that the PGA Tour has refused the exemptions. I'm sure Sergio, Westy and the others probably expected this, but it does force them to make a decision, rather than enjoy the best of both worlds.

Interesting PGA tour is saying that, an earlier article mentioned that the rules are players are not allowed to play in non sanctioned events in the USA, thus are permitted to play in those rebel events hosted in UK and Middle East.
This is what is directly impacting Mickelson, he has a deal for $30M only if he plays all 8 events, i think there is 2 or 3 in USA.
I doubt it’s helped with Norman claiming the murder of Khashoggi was just a mistake and everybody makes them.
DP World tour has followed suit refusing releases.

America has never had anyone murdered.
Possible President Cup selection if he goes on to win, good partner for Niemann.

It is true that Norman has taken on the PGA tour some 30 years ago, when he tried to start a world tour, dont know if that equates to trying to take them down.
Hmmm, a bit quiet in here considering a Major starts tonight (featured groups from 11.00pm on my Kayo, it says).
Apparently, the breeze is due to get up and the green surrounds are short, rather than long, so it should be interesting.
It seems strange to nominate this guy as a dark horse, but I'm declaring Dustin Johnson as a big chance, along with the usual new suspects of Sheffler, Rahm and Morikawa.

Jim I have been travelling all week but i turned up at a clients office today and they had (on EVERY screen) the Kayo replay on from god knows when - Lucas Glover was wearing a Nike SQ hat.
I’m probably more pumped to see the course after Gil did a ‘historic renovation’ on the place. Looks insane on the Fried Egg vids.
The depth currently is awesome - could be anyone (except Phil or Bryson ). I think to suggest DJ, Rahm, Morikawa, Scheffler, Mcilroy et all is verging on lazy though from your normally applied expert picks.
All i know is the media’s obsession with Phil had better F*** off before Sunday because every interview i saw today asked for comment on his non-appearance.
I'm having a sneaky bet on JT
He’s got to win something someday. His buddy Smiley is on the course and could be the key
I’ll be interested to see how Scottie Scheff plays -he has openly said this is his fav course on earth. Given the heater he is on I’ll be watching closely to see what R1 and R2 do to him.
I would hate it to turn into a “this is a par 67” moment for him although favourite isn’t directly saying I’m gonna dominate.
I’m happy with the current schedule tho - “majors” in March, April, May, June, July, August Sept
Players
Masters
PGA
US Open
The Open
FedEx Cup
