Gents — thoughts on the value (especially with NSWGC in mind: high wind, lots of run, accuracy at a premium) of a low-loft three wood (14° or so) with a hybrid length (say 40-41”) shaft on it?
Is that even a coherent/functional club setup?
I’m curious about finding something accurate between 10.5° driver (230ish carry) & 18° hybrid (195-200 carry)?

Just hit your driver with a lower tee height. more forgiveness and a bigger club face to hit.
Allow for a bit of fade and the good thing... is it really shouldn't go left.
Low lofted fairway woods are a 1990's throwback that no one needs. The golf ball is just too hard for this nowadays unless you are a 120mph or better swinger.

I already use these tees with driver, so teeing lower isn't really possible unless I Laura Davies it!
