    Default 2022 Eclectic

    2022 Edition.

    Rules below:
    • For those unfamiliar, an eclectic score is your best gross score on each hole of your course over a given period of time.
    • This Eclectic runs from 1 January to 31 December.
    • Scores from any official club competition round (stroke, par, stableford) played during the dates above are permitted (no social rounds).
    • To enter, you need to record the following:
    - Course
    - Length/ Index/ Pars of each hole
    - Your gross scores for those holes
    • As you play rounds during the year and improve on those gross scores, you need to post your improvements.
    You can get a copy of my pre-formatted Google Sheets Eclectic here. All you need to do is change the Course Name and Length, Par & Index for each hole (Google account required).

    3 more yesterday. Only the birdie on 8 (27cm) impacts the eclectic score though.

    I also let a good opportunity slip on 14 from a tad over 2m.

    5 new birds! 6 birdies in yesterday's round, and only one on a hole that I had already birdied this year.

    I'm not sure whether a temp green that is 30m short of the previous green should count though, as a new green will be going in another 50m on. I'll keep it, and hopefully birdie with the new green anyway.

    I have now got the birdie on the 1st (both yesterday AND today). I also had a very good chance on 11 today (about 5ft) but I'm blaming the greens reno for that one .

    It has been a pretty lean year this year. Been working away, my coach is out of the game and yet to find a suitable replacement.

    My average score is 3 shots over last year, and I struggle to hit it close enough to make many birdies. Finally got rid of all the bogies though.

    Three birds in my 12 hole hit last weekend. Another one on the second which I have been playing well lately. Finally a birdie on the fifth, which I didn't birdie all of last year. It just took a well struck 2 hybrid to land on the slope in front of the green, take the pace off, and settle on the green within a few metres of the flag. I also birdied 12 with a chip in from the front edge.
