Midsize grips and shaft extension.
I've been playing with a set of Ping S58's for a few years (ex Jack/Webster I believe). And they are well and truly due a regrip.
I have also been wondering whether adding half or a full inch would be worthwhile. I'm 187cm and the Ping size guide shows I probabaly should be atleast half inch longer.
With the grip size, I've had a couple of drivers and currently my wedges & driving iron have midsize grips which I've liked, but just a bit unsure whether I should go the whole lot.
What advantages might I see with Midsize grips and/or extending the shafts?

The general idea is, keep trying longer until you start not hitting out of the middle. Then you have found where the tipping point is.

Something else to consider here: swingweight.
β> 1/2" shaft length = 3 swingweight points
β> 2 grams club head weight = 1 swingweight point
β> 5 grams grip weight = 1 swingweight point
β> 9 grams shaft weight = 1 swingweight point
This isn't always spot on, but it's close enough.
My advice, try it on one of your irons first and see how you go, but wait for a while to see what happens.
I engaged in all sorts of folly with grip size (I regret doing this), and found it took a few months for the detrimental effect to emerge ν ½νΈ
