    Default Stack and tilt

Has anyone used this method over the years?

I find my biggest challenge is swaying and loosing posture, hence hitting fat occasionally or sliding into impact and then getting stuck.

Have found if I keep weight more on lead foot(say 55/45) turn my hips instead or moving back my ball striking is pure and direction is good.

I read up a little about what I am doing and have found it is similar to stack and tilt.

I am very ok to sacrifice some distance if I gain consistency

    Yep tried it.

It is simply a "Re-centering for dummy" and it works well if implemented correctly.

And you shouldn't lost any distance anyway, it put you in the position you should have been to strike the ball.

Hmm... never thought of the following!

"Instead of turn to the top, Tilt to the top".

    That's a good one.

Always been a big fan of his swing and the feeling of dropping the arms is also something that works for my swing

JR doesnt S&T. Have a look at Badds and then compare to JR. so very very different. Think of S&T as a closed face, single plane swing, the face is always closed, so you stay flat and inside and you cant sway without being a total retard.

JR's new swing with the open hips and front knee action is the current fad, The long hair pommie guy also does it and he hits it alright.

but - if you want to fix sway, it is pretty easy - get in front of a mirror and perform a back-swing trying to keep your front shoulder higher than your rear shoulder. You will turn and coil but not sway.

If you want to fix sway - you fix the first 2 feet of the swing.

    Default Stack and tilt

I’m focusing on a solid left wrist during my take away and it has made a hell of a difference with not moving backwards which isn’t what it was correcting but it has helped there too
