This is real in respect of some plastics.
Dunno the fine details nor about other industry but in the Life Sciences Corning who is a leading manufacturer of glass and plastics is reporting 9 months ETA on some of their lines.
I have one order for some plastic flasks since December ( not with Corning) and the manufacturers response to ETA updates is either crickets or "we will let you know"
We already had a few instances of toilet paper frenzy with clients asking how many flasks/vials etc we have and taking them all because Corning have none.

My pro told me the range near me (Terrey Hills) lost 20,000+ balls during the months of torrential rain as they just plugged deep in the long grass and mud.
They've had to restrict open hours and closed the top deck for a while to conserve supplies, the balls they have left look 10 years old.

Same here at KDV gold coast. For years they always had quality range balls. Now for the last 12 months its all been dregs. Will be a combination of losing them in the mud and supply.

Terrey Hills got supplies of some Mizuno balls to fill the gap but they are just awful, harder than the cheapest rock golf ball you could buy and way worse than the usual Srixon range balls they've been using.

I noticed this to Mark, I go there every now and again when I’m down there for work. Last time I went ended up with a mark that won’t come off my 6 iron, probably from dirt of sand on the ball. Looks like an explosion (to bad it’s out never the toe)

At Golf Central they have the Taylormade hitting area for members of the learning centre. Taylormade TP5's provided to use.
Only problem is the range yobbo's just walk over and crab a bucket full to chip with in their area and put all the good ones in their bag and leave the rest around the green.
They are allowed to take their bags over to that green while the learning centre members are not.
The general ratio of balls to use out of 5 would be
Decent TP5 1
Useable Tp5 1
Barely useable TP5 1
Crappy TP5 1
Swapped out by yobbo ball 1 say a dunlop DDH
