It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out, I reckon there will be some clubs who adopt the RM position as the alternative may be seen to be just too hard to manage.

People catch it elsewhere and bring it to the club.

Lockdown in the ACT extended by a month, and no pathway identified to get out.

Positive. Golf in some form is allowed from Saturday - no comps, social only, in groups of 4 it looks like.

Now to see if the Club looks after their 700 members or the pro, who will try to get every dollar he can.

You can't catch COVID playing socially.

Entering your score on your own phone is a known source of covid transmission.

Seems ACT Golf clubs are working with the local government to address this oddity.

I think the theory is that a competition encourages people to gather before and after the round around the pro shop area. Socially that happens less.

Same with a lot of the golf Covid policy, it is more to do with the clubhouse, proshop, carpark etc than out on course.

Thats a good point and you are right, when someone sues a club for self interest they would be an outcast win or lose. I understand that nobody wants to play with the lady that sued RQ so she could play in the men only sat comp (and won).

So as the captain said, the members support the idea of requiring a vaccine passport to play, that means the members must be vaccinated, so then why do they even need this policy?
Obviously means there are plenty of dissenters, and Captain Authoritarian isnt even interested in listening to why(based on the stupid excuses he ranted about). So if someone was to sue, they would have a few on their side.

I’m not sure about “plenty” but that’s a personal interpretation I guess.
    Forum needs more banter.
