    Default Lowood Cup, June 25

Anyone interested in playing the Lowood Cup on Saturday, August 21 at Lowood GC? It is a single stroke event with multiple grades. $25 will get you in the comp, and include a burger. Tee times are 6-8:30 and 10:30-12. At this stage, the early slot would be my preference.1. AndyP

If there’s anything I need it’s more stroke rounds. I’m in.

Very open, so nearly all of the stokes should be those hit with a club.

I'm a chance for this, but it's covid border dependent amongst other things...

pencil me in for next year! played Lowood once, and thoroughly enjoyed the course, and the friendly clubhouse.
did you know they dont even have a greenkeeper, just one groundsman.

It was just his wife, when he had a medical issue.

Some of the vets there recently have been taking a square of Astro turf to place their ball on to play it. I hope it’s improved slightly as it was a good fun course to play.

It wasn't fantastic condition when I played it earlier in the year, but I didn't think it was bad enough to need astro turf. It was preferred lie though.

There is some crappy old course in Scotland where golfers hit off a mat 3 months of the year too.

I haven't contacted them yet, as I'm not expecting it to be hard to get a tee time. Maybe next week.

Unless the border situation changes soon I won't be able to make this, but will keep an eye on things.

Considering we are currently in lockdown, BYU, I doubt SA would be letting you back in, if you did come up for this prestigious event.

I guess I should book this, but it's hard without knowing what COVID has in store for us.

At the moment this is now round 2 of the club champs. They have shortened it to 54 holes starting a week later. Pending permission to play golf in 4s by the 14th blah blah. I'll let you know as soon as I know.

Are there different rules depending on the LGA?

Isn't that what your club is doing? I've assumed that what my club is doing will be the same at all affected LGAs.

Nah, we’ve got 4s and singles in carts unless they live together.
