    Default 3 Persimmon woods

    Hi all,

    I am looking for a set of three right handed persimmon woods - ideally driver, three and five. Ultimately, they are to be used in a trophy, so while they don't need to be immaculate, it would be great to have them in either good or easily restorable condition. Am watching a few sets on Ebay, but thought I would check here to see what people have sitting around.

    They are for a guy who grew up playing (and loving) persimmon, so really want to get them in preference to the laminates. The Tony Penna's sound like they could fit the bill - I am actually watching a set of three of them on Ebay for about $120 from the US.

    I am going to build a specific display stand for them, so perhaps 'trophy' is slightly the wrong word. Basically, we just want to get something that has a bit of history that can be displayed. Budget is fairly open at this point - will depend upon what is on offer.

    Stuart, these are 1-3-4 Tommy Armour Silver Scot 986 Tours from the 1980's they've been restored and not hit since. If you're keen, send me a PM and we can work out a deal.
