So a mate of mine bought these today and has some concerns if they are real or not. Looking at them my main concern is they are meant to be in a brushed steel finish which these do not appear to be.

For the HMB’s they also appear to have a pretty narrow sole.

Anyone got any opinions?

The etching on the hosel screams fake to me. It's completely different from what you can see on pics on the Mizuno website (and of Mitch's 4 iron).

It’s usually on one of the ferrules with Mizuno.

On this model should be laser etched on the steel.

Just rang him, definitely no serial numbers etched in, he has been done well and truly unfortunately, talked into paying cash instead of PayPal…

Unfortunately it should probably read "GF FORGED CHROMOLY" on the hosel.

Tell your mate to keep as many of the details of the seller as possible. He can also report the ad to gumtree who will give you an ad reference for a police report. I've been down this path and it's definitely one worth pursuing.
