Default SIM2 vs SIM2 Max driver head weight

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the weight of a SIM2 driver head is please (no tip).

I know the weight of the SIM2 Max from a mate but just wondering how the SIM2 compares.

    Cheers

The Sim2 is about 2-3g heavier than the Max. Has been that way from the start of the M series

Thanks for the reply but if it's the same as the M series, I think it's more than that. My 2017 M2 head is 194g (sans tip) and I seem to remember my 2017 M1 head (when I had one) was 203g. I could be wrong but for some reason that's what I recall. But if the SIM2 and SIM2 Max are only 2-3g different, that's good, it won't make a difference and I'll need to try both. If it's close to what I've seen before, SIM2 max is the only one worth trying. I'll see if TM can confirm but I've not found them particularly helpful before. Cheers

I think you’ll find the 194g is excluding the tip and the 203g is including the tip.

I never weighed the heads with a tip but like I said, my recollection could be wrong on the actual number. When I had them both at the same time, the M1 was noticeably heavier in the hands with the same shaft. It's not that big of a deal but just asked in case someone knew off the top of their head.

Based on the swing weights with stock shafts (D5 for 65g Tensei For Sim2, D4 for 55g Ventus) you’d assume they are pretty much identical.

I had the original Sim and Max for a while and the Sim was heavier. I assumed that was because of the weight track.

Thanks doddsy. Yeah maybe the weight track is the main difference and it doesn't apply to SIM2. Thanks for that.

Just weight a Sim2 and Sim2 Max (head only). 196g vs 195g respectively.

Jazz, I have a Sim 2 Max driver. Very long and surprisingly forgiving.
Definitely not a hook machine. Only thing I don’t lime is the SW is D4.
When I try to hit it hard, I get out of sequence due to its weight.
My preferred is D2. About to do an experiment with a shorter shaft.
    Otherwise…great!

Thanks PTP. One of the other guys here has a SIM2 Max as well and I've had a couple of games with him recently and he smacks it! It's the reason I'm looking into them! Lol!
