Honour / Honors
Heard it again today when Fred Ridley was announcing the honorary starters. Mr Elder you have the honorS.
Have heard Americans say it before whilst as far as I know I have only heard Australians say "you have the honour".
Is this another thing the US has bastardised or do me/we say it incorrectly?

They also use golf as a verb. If you’re different I think you can assume you’re correct.

I think the Yanks have confused it with the casual 'You do the honours / I'll do the honours' for proposing a toast or saying grace at a dinner.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.

Multiple Major Winner
My understanding is that a player has Honours (Honors), but on the Tee they have the Honour/Honor.
