Ordinary 29 points off 16 at Oxley yesterday (96 off the stick). Couldn't hit the side of a barn with the driver, hopefully that's just a one off as I've been hitting it pretty well for the last couple of months. Only hit 3 fairways and one was a lucky bounce off a tree to the left. Managed 5 greens, but putting was hot and cold all day. Had my first 4 putt since last August on the back 9 which otherwise consisted of 1 and 2 putts.
I couldn't get into any sort of rhythm, which may have been due to having to wait around a lot of the time. I wasn't going too bad with 43/17 points after 9 holes, but it just fell apart after that.
Windaroo on Sunday with the social club, hopefully it'll be better.

18/04/2021, Wynnum GC, Blue Tees, Stableford.
Stats: 7/13 fairways, 5/18 greens, 26 putts.
Score: BXbXXbXPP XBPBPPPPb; 41:39:80 (+7:+3:+10); Stab 15:19:34pts.
Golflink: 9.2 (-0.1). SCH: 8.2 (0.0)
I started with garbage ball striking off the soggy fairways, that saw two birdies amongst five double bogies for the first ten holes. It was really disappointing because the driver was having its best day for ages, and the irons were letting me down. I was much more consistent on the back nine, and managed just one over for the last eight to post a respectable score, which should be a flag for the handicap.
Edit: I just worked out that this is my lowest score at Wynnum. Nice!
I feel like I'm on the verge of having a really good round, especially with the number of birdies I've been making, but it just won't all come together for a full 18 at the moment.
Next round: Wolly Park next Monday is the plan.

Stableford on Saturday.Nothing to see here , 28 pts.
Hi lite of the day was hitting a 4 iron from 195m,catching the pin on the full and watching the ball disappear into a dam.
Possible NTP on 13, but yet to find out if it held up

A slightly encouraging nett 77 in a stroke event today. I was struggling after 8 holes, made a swing adjustment that worked, and played OK from that point. So I'm fairly happy.
It was almost a North Korean-like total of 1 though. My drive on the first struck the trees and disappeared. I wasn't going to do the walk of shame off the first and then back to the first tee, so it was almost a 1 shot round. One of my playing partners lost a ball on the 18th, and refused to go back, so he technically wasted an entire day. He already had heaps, so it didn't matter, but this is why I hate stroke events. You can't hit a provisional every time you hit a tree.

I went through my bag of tricks in that run; flushes, pulls, pushes, and chunks.

Wednesday golf with my usual group, kicked off with a nice wipe........had 36 points for the day off the blue tees.
Par 3 7th was a standout, seven iron, 145m, back right pin, over the hill and in. BOOM

Not too many on the sauce @11am.
We do it a bit different, the club puts out a bottle/s of scotch, anyone can have a drink. You then get charged for how much is drunk.

No holes in one for me today. I did hit one to about 8 feet, but it wasn't even a NTP, and I missed the putt. My total was a nothing special 35 points, which is my best score for a while.
But it was a major choke, and I'd be proud of my handicap farming if I had something to farm towards. I was 2 up after 14, with three shot holes still to come. Bad drives on all three meant I was saving bogey, and three putts on all the last three holes meant I turned an easy 38 or better into 35. But for the most part I played well, and I may have fixed a few swing problems.

Well done Mick, that back right pin is really tough.
I'm happy just to hit that green or make a par.

Still waiting for my first hole in one too, and it didn't happen today.
Average round, but can't really complain about the score.
PPBPPPPBB-XPbBPPPPP 76/35pts
Was good off the tee, but another poor round with short irons & wedges - only 6 GIR, and not many good looks at birdie. Missed a few makeable birdie putts, but sunk a few longer par putts, including a lovely down-hill left-right on 18. A couple of average chips thrown in for good measure. The 6 on 10 was bad - missed the 4 foot par putt, got cranky, then missed the bogey putt too.
