Stops inches short of the hole. Taps in his par. The other flushes his 9iron lands just left of the flag and begins to roll towards the flag, passes the flag and continues its way almost off the right side of the green. Double breaking putt that just misses. Taps in for par. Loses the match.

I’ll let you figure out who is who. It is a shit hole with a shit green. You are correct Benno 1 is worse.
The ball tells you if you’ve hit a good shot

Sounds like a big improvement from how 3pp played the hole first time around.

To be fair, my tee shot went about as far, we just didn’t lose sight of this one.

Yeah condition is great at RQ!

Love playing on renovated greens 11 months of the year.

It's good for the visitors with $50 green fees

Just played Maleny at the end of a three day trip. Played Woodford and Cooroy also.
    Found Maleny disappointing.
Great greens and a few good holes but overall (subjective...) poor design...
Goat track might be a step too far but for the money it's not good value. I was with a group of golfers all off about 11/12 and we all despaired about some aspects of the course that seemed poorly thought out.
For what it's worth Cooroy golf course was a revelation in terms of interesting golf holes, and was the stand out of the three.

Wow. I’ve really enjoyed Maleny the few times I’ve been there. It’s great fun.

If you had to name one course in Qld that's not like another - it's Maleny. All things considered, it's probably my favourite course on the Sunny Coast.

Such a shock that Damo is being contrarian.

Maleny, along with Cooroy has some challenging holes that require a couple of rounds to work them out. Both course's were in great nick when I played them.

    Not totally...
Some holes there are great, but many of the ones that run in a line out from the clubhouse hugging the ridges have quite a few unfair elements.

It's true, both courses are unique.

Otherwise, one of the courses is fun, and doesn't waste the land it's built on. The other is Nash Old.

Not quite a goat track, more of a cow paddock.

I was lucky to play with a couple of members of the committee. It is a local knowledge cow paddock for sure.
