Yeah, it was. Should have been a free. I think they just had a bad night all round really. They missed what should have been a 100m penalty when Hawkins didn't get out of the way for the first 50. A number of other strange decisions across the game as well.

Oh well. Can't do much about it now
Good to see the AFL mouthpiece come out and admit the Umpire was wrong by not paying a free for incorrect disposal in the dying minutes of the Geelong game.
Pity that robbed Brisbane of a great come back win.

Rounds 2 was more of the same quick movement free flowing games from the ones I watched.
I'm liking watching the key forwards being able to lead out and ply their craft in a more traditional style. Just hope this game style can continue.

I watched the four games we got on 7 up here (no fox or kayo) and agree they were all quite fast and open, much like the first round. I hope it continues as well, I've actually been excited and looking forward to watching it each week for the first time in a few years. Wasn't very entertaining watching the ball stuck in a pack of 30 players for two hours.

If my team wasn't involved I could never last that long. I turned many a game off and reluctantly did something around the house/yard. Not much will get done if they keep up the free flowing quick style but I'll be happily entertained for it.

Yeah, I'd usually either get distracted looking at something on my phone or I wouldn't even bother watching the game at all, which made my then missus happier 😂 last year was the worst for it. I was happy it was on but the majority of games weren't great. This year I'm alone and the games so far have been heaps better so yeah, watching pretty much all of them every weekend I reckon. Between that and golf the chores have been done a bit slower...

    Go North!

Luke Darcy copped some flak last week for his biased commentary for the Bulldogs. Nice to see that Channel Seven doubled down by having Darcy "commentate" on the Dogs again, and adding former North chairman, Brayshaw, to the team. Unwatchable without even considering the actual game really.

Hard to see Leon Camron seeing the year out.

Agreed. His performance in the Amazon doco was appalling, very condescending in the way he spoke to his players especially Steven Cognilio.
Will be very surprised if he lasts.

Big game for the Colliwobbles on ANZAC Day. Buckley's presser after the game against West Coast sounded like he'd conceded he's gone this year.

Another nail in the box with the loss to Essendon. Coming out and saying he was asking the players if they had jumper clash issue at the break was amusing. I've got a feeling he's lost them which is dead man walking for any coach.

Comedy act of the week goes to the Crows knowingly taking an injured player as the Medical Sub and then said player not being ready to come straight into the game when required. Wasn't warmed up or even had his boots on ready to play. How the hell can any club get this so wrong? It's given the media plenty of ammo to pile on again after they've tried to defend what happened.

What's going on with your Saints Chappy1970? I really thought they were going to be a serious top 6 contender but they are looking all sorts of rubbish so far this season.

Is Sam Mitchell the new Nathan Buckley?
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

Same amount of Brownlows, same amount of premierships as an assistant coach, but four less premierships as a player.

At least Hawthorn are doing it during the early stages of a rebuild and he hasn't inherited a premiership side like Buckley did.

Mitchell is also coaching Box Hill at the moment, I'm not sure Buckley was ever a senior coach before taking over the Pies?

I reckon you would have to be insane to have ambitions to be an AFL senior coach these days. The chances of success are so small and you have to sacrifice so much to be in the position.

This Sam Mitchell fella would want to be good if you are going to shaft Clarkson in this manner. Jeff Kennett should not have had a second term in his second stint as president.

To the in depth response I was looking for, but interesting nonetheless…
