    Default Xgolf

Just gauging interest in an Xgolf session at Marion for a date in February. Each booth is $40 per hour which we can share with as many people as we like. 3-4 people per booth is probably a sweet spot. Assuming 4 people per booth it will only cost $20 each for 2 hours which is pretty great value and I think we should be able to play 18 holes in that time however I have not played a full 18 there before. If we can get 6-8 people confirmed that would be ideal. Any interest?

    Update 16/02/2021

Booked for 2 groups (4 in each group).
Date: Sunday the 21st of February
    Time: 10am - 12pm.
Cost is $30pp for 2 hours if we have 4 per group, slightly more if we have odd numbers
    BYO clubs

    Confirmed Starters:
    1. Flavzz
    2. Waza
    3. DMG
    4. Hatchy
    5. Marcel
    6. Hard Pan
    7. Kadin

I've just called and made a booking. OP updated. We have 7 currently if Wenz is confirmed so still room for one more player.

If people are to pull out we need more than 24 hours notice ideally so please let me know in advance where possible.

In terms of actual golf we can choose a course and play 18 holes or use the practice range feature. Are people happy to play a course? We can have a small comp if that interests anyone or just play for bragging rights is also fine.

Wenz might be able to shed some light on available courses. If Augusta is available it's a no brainer but not getting my hopes up.

Don't think they have Augusta last time there. Unless they have updated software.

Personally I wouldn't mind an out of ordinary with somewhere in Japan or Korea

Lots of great options. I'm keen for something scenic and oceanside to make it interesting like Pebble. Alternatively what about Kingston Heath?

Not sure if the screen would be able to handle golf balls rolling off the middle of the fairway for 20 metres

Guess that might help answer the question?
    Q. Are Sim Shanks more funny than on course Shanks?

    Only 20m???
Nadg's perfect drive dead straight left of center on 3 ended up the furthest right and worst second shot at the green after a good 40m wander down the slope.

I'd rather something international that I'm never likely to get to.
    Pebble would be nice.
I think that was on PGA Golf on the old SEGA Mega Drive. My best ball striking days were when I played that game a fair bit and it made me focus more on aiming a exact spots rather than a general wide area.

We can take a vote on the day. The cool thing about Pebble is that most of us know the course to some degree but as said above we are very unlikely to ever play it, plus it's a visually impressive course. Should look great on the simulator.

    Unfortunately, can't make that date.

As for courses, theres plenty of options. I personally love playing Kapalua (crazy elevation changes) and the Australian courses.
