Default Maleny Saturday 23 January 9.10am

2 spots available for anyone who wants a front row seat to the next instalment of the Everybody Love Everybody Cup between SundayHack and myself.

You’ll need to ring the club yourselves. I’m a very busy man.

Have you played there before, SH? If not, it might be hard to trust the guidance of 3pp.

The verbal guidance will be spot on, just don’t follow me.

I’m cupless. The course wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. I’m not sure trying to jam 18 holes in was the best move. There are a few dinky holes that I wasn’t a fan off. Think they could have made a really good 9holer. A few greens are just stupid. Par3 17th I landed between left edge of the green and the flag (left of middle) and rolled off to the right fringe. Some muppet lays up 50m short, chunks his chip but it rolls down the hill to tap in. Hole squared in pars. He retains the cup.

You expected it to be bad? I think the new holes are most of the front nine, definitely 1 to 5, at least. Those holes definitely aren't squeezed in, so maybe it is the initial nine that was a bit to crammed in.

its true that some of the greens have too much slope for the speed they run. 1st is probably the best example.
I like the course, as very unique in so many ways.

I wasn’t familiar with the original holes. But yeah there were some that went against the flow of the course. Walking back into danger. Favourite holes were 2,7,9,11,12,13,15. Least favourite 1,3,16,17
